Some close lightning to the ground has caused the floodlights to go out. The match gets called in the 89th minute.

Listening to Harper talk bollocks makes you realise at least that Fox are equal opportunity nincompoops.

The player who was ruled "offside"  played no role in the build up nor that actual finish so why rule against him - albeit a shoulder off side. He didn't play at the ball, he didn't obstruct or distract any defenders. Please explain.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The player that was ruled offside did play a part in the goal because he flicked the ball that went to the far post which was crossed in for the header ,

Sydney and Melbourne City are certainly the two best teams in the league. The 1st half has had some great football from both sides even at 0-0

Cheers, I missed the flick on. I thought it had gone straight over.

Don't see how the hell they can judge that ball to have been completely over the line. Seriously need more cameras at least

Yes, I think stood because no evidence definitively either way. I can't really tell.

Ridiculous commentating by Slater saying because the player was behind the line it must be a goal, which is absolutely incorrect.

dunno if it is a Fox instruction to stir up controversy, but if it was 'clearly a goal' there'd be no VAR involved. Still as I said before making me feel better about the rubbish they talk about the Nix- they talk 60% bollocks.
Nothing definitive to overturn imo. Linesman probably has a better view, so as long as the call was not delayed by them.

Not sure why King didn't give the penalty in real time but VAR calls him over and City get a penalty. J-Mac converts, 1-1

Wow what a finish! VAR, pen and then nearly a win on the counter.
1-1 McLaren with the pen.

Juric leaps over Zeigler, Adelaide 1-0 up early.

If Adelaide win this, we will have 5 teams within 4 points of the lead with 10 games to go. Adelaide would have 11, as they play midweek & could be first if they win both. We are heading towards a grandstand finish.

Hope the 'Nix were watching that. Nice set piece routine, create some space for our players to attack rather than knock into a crowded box for our players to try out jump the opposition.

How good was this from Al Hassan Toure

Great piece of skill.

Also surprised at how well Adelaide are travelling. For sure thought they'd be in for a bit of a struggle this season, but along with CCM I guess they're proving the doubters wrong.
