The player who was ruled "offside" played no role in the build up nor that actual finish so why rule against him - albeit a shoulder off side. He didn't play at the ball, he didn't obstruct or distract any defenders. Please explain.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
The player that was ruled offside did play a part in the goal because he flicked the ball that went to the far post which was crossed in for the header ,

Cheers, I missed the flick on. I thought it had gone straight over.

Don't see how the hell they can judge that ball to have been completely over the line. Seriously need more cameras at least
Yes, I think stood because no evidence definitively either way. I can't really tell.
Ridiculous commentating by Slater saying because the player was behind the line it must be a goal, which is absolutely incorrect.
dunno if it is a Fox instruction to stir up controversy, but if it was 'clearly a goal' there'd be no VAR involved. Still as I said before making me feel better about the rubbish they talk about the Nix- they talk 60% bollocks. Nothing definitive to overturn imo. Linesman probably has a better view, so as long as the call was not delayed by them.
If Adelaide win this, we will have 5 teams within 4 points of the lead with 10 games to go. Adelaide would have 11, as they play midweek & could be first if they win both. We are heading towards a grandstand finish.
Hope the 'Nix were watching that. Nice set piece routine, create some space for our players to attack rather than knock into a crowded box for our players to try out jump the opposition.
Also surprised at how well Adelaide are travelling. For sure thought they'd be in for a bit of a struggle this season, but along with CCM I guess they're proving the doubters wrong.
