I would've thought better for Brisbane to win...

Though it really depends on what you think each team may do in next matches.

Brisbane 2nd best form in comp behind City. CCM haven't won for a while. Though CCM.. still have to play Jets twice I think.

I think so... it's kind of close though since they have played 1 more match than Brisbane. Then hope they beat MacArthur and Western United in games still to be played.

Game after this one, we really want Perth to get up over WU as we don't want them getting away too.

Looking at the draw, it's going to be very difficult to make the six, especially now Western Sydney seems to be playing better.

0-0 at half time. Wonder if it's the extra workload of midweek games or if its tactical cuz of the tightness of the ladder but games feel much less open recently

Ends 0-0. Off to Perth we go now

Bruno free kick, 1-0. Questions about Scott's positioning?

Great free kick for the goal from Fornaroli.

I didn't catch the replay, but that looked very poor from Scott.

I'm worried my bet on Perth to win by 2 or 3 wasn't actually optimistic enough at this point!

Perth- goal scorers in Keogh, Ikonomidis, Fornaroli and Chianese before you even count Castro.

A very composed finish from Chianese to go 3-0.

Chianese seals it, 3-0 with 12 minutes left.

Typical Western United, Durante/Berisha/Diamanti not being able to handle losing. They should be getting used to it by now.

Nice, had $5 on Perth to win 3-0 @$44 for a 215 profit. Now to bet it all on the Nix to beat City, even if we are without Davila.

They play again tonight (vs Adelaide) so hopefully the hiccup is on Sunday, not tonight! City's short turn around should help the Nix I guess.

Jamieson with a very hopeful shot at goal, Adelaide defender sticks a leg out and deflects it past the Keeper.  1-0

4-1 in the end. Hopefully City will relax against us and we grab 3 much needed points.

When do they become champions? I haven’t looked at the table to work it out.

Commentators last night said they need 6 more points to be guaranteed 1st place.

Gotta admit, I thought he would do a Krishna in his second year but its never really happened for him. I can't see him getting a new deal.

Does he have swags of goals in lower  leagues? Also Krishna had a lengthy spell in the reserves and on the bench before he adjusted. He looks like an athlete, but maybe doesn’t have either a nose for goal or that bit of football nous. Should have got that ball to Gestede there. Great tackle from Milligan, but

He won the award for best NPL player in the FFA Cup, Victory took a gamble cuz he was young, unpolished but exciting. I expected having a full off season being a pro would help take off some of the rough edges but seems he is all rough edges. If anything he has gone backwards, maybe he will find his groove as he gets older (similar to Kamau) but I don't see it happening. He will go back to the NPL and be a star, maybe someone takes a gamble again in a few years.

Another slip by Ryan and Derbyshire scores again. 3-1.

Victory have been the better side but couldn't finish a sandwich

Why did I bother watching that? Pathetic defending, awful finishing from MV.

Another blow to our ever receding chances of catching the teams above us for a top 6 spot.

Yeh, despite me talking down Kamsoba he’s got the goal and Gestede got nothing from 3 very good chances.

There are lots of reasons not to like WSW, the way they have acted poaching players in an underhanded type of way. But for no particular reason I just don't like the Bulls and don't like watching them play.

ALF named in Sydney's match day squad for this afternoons game

Sydney should do this comfortably but would be interesting if they failed. Might result in some late season collywobbles as apart from MV they have some difficult games left.

Maybe a draw the best result for us.

9 games since the last Away win, I think that changes this afternoon. Commentators saying it is only 8 degrees in Ballarat but feels like 4 degrees.

Gestede has to be the worst striker. I think his ratio is only marginally better than Rufer's and in fairness to Rufer, he hasn't scored. I've not seen a striker waste or miss so many easy chances as Gestede.

Ironically the way things are shaping up it's the two Gestede goals he scored against us that will probably end up costing us a playoff place.
