Final score 2-1. but the best team lost. Will be an interesting game for us next week.

Jets have started the season in the same vein as last season, creating tons of chances but can't finish a sandwich. They are not a bad squad, just lacking up front

That should have absolutely been a penalty to Newcastle in injury time, the handball rule is completely stuffed.

The issue is that the handball rule is in black and white (Despite it being a poor rule) and is being implemented to it's correct interpretation. Morally wrong as it was a hand ball but technically it wasn't as the player had tried to hoof it away. On FB everyone is getting upset that MacArthur is buying the refs etc. Just BS. If the Jets had put away their chances, it would have ended up a high scoring game. The two goals MacArthur scored were also pretty damn good and you can't buy those.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Didn't there used to be a team from WA in the league?

They play their first game of the season tonight. Given the WA's strict border control, they gave them extra time for borders to open when they did the original draw.

Nice goal from Yuel, if kind of handed to him on a plate. He's been impressive so far this season.

Didn't expect that.  Perth will definitely be up there come seasons end.

They were far better than I expected in the ACL, so I expect them to be up there. Adelaide hadn't played a game for 17 days and it showed, they didn't even play an NPL side during the break.

It's a big surprise. If anything they are even less impressive on paper than in previous seasons when they took the spoon, yet here they are going great guns. Still got all their imports to come in too.

One thing I've noticed this season is that across the board many of the younger players have really stepped up a level in quality.

does make the league very interesting. Hopefully we can get a win as it would be nice to build a bit of momentum.

Stensness has made a big leap, his combination with Bozanic has been very good for CCM

The leave from Lustica was really nice. Must've got a call but still gave the whole move a look very classy look.
