Yeah, but why? If they want to engage with the public it makes much more sense to play it on weekends. The A League hasn't started yet and I'm sure the other clubs could rearrange their state league fixtures if needed. It just seems strange to me - sure in Europe a lot of cup competitions get played midweek but that's usually because they're trying to fit so many games into a season (bigger leagues, European comps, multiple domestic cups). Australia doesn't have that excuse.

Maybe it's up against the Aus inter-state luge championship league during the weekends?

As always, the answer is probably TV.

You're probably right. They could at least have the untelevised games on weekends though

Is there not an issue with grounds, with League and AFL using them at the weekends?

Probably more to do with TV ratings, as no one uses Bluetongue Stadium, Coopers Stadium nor the Perth Stadium for their AFL/League matches.... right?

I assume there won't any chance of us seeing the game on tv or on a stream?

CCM have streamed pre-season games live in the past for a fee, they might consider it if there is interest.

a lot of clubs were streaming it last year for free not the a-league clubs but the aussie state league clubs. i watched central coat vs wollongong or something this way. i think the ffa have done something that does not allow clubs to stream it for themselves anymore - wankers.

So pretty likely we're playing with a front line consisting of "not a striker" again, although this time round our "not a striker"s are of a lower calibre than last time.

Just as long as we're not playing "not a defender"s in defence!

The streams are working on Apple TV set to Australia with unotelly DNS set with the correct Dynamo settings. I don't have a subscription, the press release says you are supposed to have one but I don't and it is working. This could be an option for those who don't mind watching delayed, $4.99 a week and you get to watch the replays along with the nrl and super rugby. There are free highlight videos on there too

Wish I read this an hour ago. You just went in and manually changed DNS on Apple TV to an Australian one?

NE Metrostars & Heidelberg United win in normal time, other two games currently in bonus football.

Hume/Strikers game had 2 late goals, with the Strikers coughing up an added time equaliser after scoring a 90th minute go ahead goal
