Hahahahahaha I jumped out of my chair at that miss.
It's 3-0 but what a fudgeing goober of a miss by Patrick Wood. 🤣

How good does our draw v Brisbane, away in the heat and short of players look now. City getting a hiding. 5-0 Brisbane leading at 69mins.
On paper that was an insane 5-1 win for the Roar. Melb City, VUC & Mariners all losing - dare to believe indeed. The Nix with a 3 point buffer on those with games in hand (WSW & VUC) and 5 points on those directly below them (CCM & MAC), who have played same number of games.
Wins at home & grind out draws away?
The City Group can't be happy with their Melbourne franchise at the moment. Vidmar under pressure? What's MC's wage bill compared to the Nix I wonder.

What a bloody brilliant weekend of A-League football.
It's had it all.

Still Rudan's "why always me?" post match press conference to come.
That last red card was pretty straight forward. I think Rudan would have no issues when he sees the replay.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The only real issue with that Red is how Evans missed it in real time, it was an absolute leg breaker of a tackle.
Woke up for work this morning and was surprised to see Western had won. Did the Jets play badly?

I watched large parts of that game and was totally surprised by what I saw. One, WU did not play like the team that lost 2:0 to us last week. Two, Newcastle were definitely not playing like the team that thrashed us 3:0 at home in NZ some months ago. WU did not hit them them on a counter against the run of play - the Jets simply never looked likely at all. And I put money on that pathetic lot to get a win away. I cannot even blame Risdon; he was relatively OK by his brutal standards.
Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
Unsurprisingly, it sounds like the Pink concert has ruined the Allianz Stadium pitch.
We want a pissants win here then?

A Draw or Adelaide win works. Either of those puts pressure on Sydney's push for the six.
Adelaide turn over the ball in midfield, Sydney stroll down the other end and Mak scores. 1-0
Perfect example of the sort of A League defending we've seen so much of this season: lack of patience in midfield, trying an over elaborate pass, caught on the break and bang, it's a goal.
Sydney should be running away with this. I have only been watching for ten minutes and I've seen them squander 3 great chances.
Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet
Gomes with a tap in but he is ruled to have fouled a defender, which got him into open space, 1-0
I dunno why but Uffies teams struggle to get that second goal to kill off games. Isn't like Sydney are sitting back here. 1-0
