Arzani is going down quicker than a popped balloon. Not even any contact on a couple of them.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Had to laugh at Iranian ref Faghani failing to give Arzani, player of Iranian extraction, a card for the yellowist of yellow card offences in the first half. Iraqi football fans will not be surprised.

Swear Melbourne derbies are always like 0-0 or 1-0. Massive hype but the game rarely delivers

Yes, it's been dire in recent years. Loads of hype but sometimes the best games are  not the derbies or top of the table clashes. Funny game football

No goals but heaps of intensity, woodwork rattled three times, incredible save from Young, bit of handbags. I've enjoyed it.

Better if City had won but overall good for us. How can Victory still be sharing 2nd place after drawing 10 games this season?

Almost last chance saloon for Perth tonight. Williams starting for them. Should be some goals in this one.

Glory home games have really delivered the goals this season, until we turn up on Friday and bore them into a low scoring match.

I'm not putting money on that considering there have been ten goals in the two previous encounters.

Perth break tradition and fail to concede in the last minute. FT 3-2

They will be very tough to get anything out of next week.

At least they don't have a game in hand on us, the 5 point lead after 17 rounds is now real.

It might have been nil-all but it was a good game to watch. Even the purists might admit there was lots of excitement and close chances.

Is there are some reason why our game and CCM v WSW kick off at the same time today? Seems ridiculous that one of them couldn't have started at 7pm. Was looking forward to watching the other game but it will be practically impossible not to hear the result before I can get to a replay.

Our match was originally scheduled for Friday but was moved cuz of Macarthur's midweek AFC Cup fixture. Not sure why they picked the 5pm (AEDT) kick off time tho.

Victory losing - there's going to be only one team within 5 points of us after tonight

Edit: victory score twice in added time to come from behind and win. My bad for jinxing it

Really poor quality game. Some of the ball skill and passing on show has been terrible. Summed up by Penha injuring himself in the goal celebration.

Wow. Western defence is shocking. How are players getting that much free space in the box?
Plus, the game should have been over a minute ago.

Crap. MV score 2 in injury time. They so didn't deserve to win this one.

Absolutely fantastic jinx lad.

Possibly the best jinx I've ever seen too, with a CB scoring a late brace to win it for Victory....

Saving grace is MV & CCM play each other this weekend. So either team taking points off the other. Hopefully another draw in store. 🤞

I get you play to the whistle and stuff but (and I guess I kinda am) salty that second goal came in the 8th minute of 7 mins extra time, I would be annoyed if that came against the Nix, really wanted WU to win and they nearly did

yeah, any draws for victory at home are massive too
I thought the ref was gonna end it about 97.30 when the attack broke down, and he should have, but he let them go for one more.
Maybe the crowd got to the ref booing and they were in WUs half, they probably would have blown up if he called time then however he should have though.
