We have goal line technology don’t we?

Nope, barely have the cash for a working VAR system

Honestly don't know how crowd issues years ago lead to his team being inconsistent this season. The Reffing is poor league wide, it ain't a Football Australia conspiracy to cost only his team points.

No problem with a Red card. He slides in full speed from the back with two legs around DaVilla.

It is more the Germain non red card call that triggered him I think

Rudan is paranoid, clearly the Nix are the only club who are always get the decision against us.

And the refusal of his players to show any contrition or concern for Davila’s welfare was disgusting. Their players bad mouthed him on the ground and Marcelo tried to force him to his feet.

Especially following a similar incident prior with Aidan Wasisname there should be bans.

Deciding if I should waste time listening to Rudan.

The reffing is streets ahead of behavior of Rudan and his team. The two challenges made by his team risked injuring the other player.

I think it makes for a poor show to have an outburst like that when your team loses 4:3 while playing with 10 men.  You could stretch the truth and say "we were unlucky today, that's football".
There is a risk of creating bad team culture when your players commit dangerous fouls, get sent off, and then you spend six minutes straight in a post-game presser invoking conspiracy against your team.
Other than that, it was a great game to watch. Well done The Bitumens.

I understand some of Rudan's frustrations particularly aroiund the standard/consitency of the referees. But his rationale that because of some events in the history of the club the referees are picking on his team now is absurd. If his players didn't play like thugs then they'd avoid the red cards and the stigma that hangs around them that they are thugs. His attitude doesnt help him either, he's so antagonistic and confrontational.

To be fair Germain should have been sent off before he scored his 2nd goal. Just don't tell Basil Fawlty, never trust a French Man!

Yeh I didn’t see that challenge. Also that final goal was definitely benefit of the doubt goes to the attacking team! If it wasn’t given VAR couldn’t have called it back from the video evidence imo.

Great game Adelaide v Perth.
Adelaide conspire to blow a 2-0 lead, before Adelaide nip in with a 98th minute goal to tie it up 3-3.

Goal line technology would've been interesting on that last goal!

How’d Oli Sail go?
Edit: oh, he’s saved a pen against Mauk. Never liked that guy. Must have thought he’d done enough for 3 points at that point.

That first pen for Ibusuki is very soft. Bad old days reffing. Ibusuki doesn’t compete, but throws himself to ground and though there’s hands on shoulders we’ve not seen anything like that given this season at all.

So random how much extra time refs add on in injury time. Irankunda's free kick is deflected out and the corner is allowed to be taken, even though it's already a minute and a half past the 6 minutes time added on. Surely full time should be blown right then, not delayed because the ref is scared of getting jeered at by the hometown crowd if he doesn't keep the game going.

Excellent game from Oli. Some vital stops and a saved penalty which deserved to be a match winner. Distribution still a bit wonky though.

Compared to what we’ve seen in the box it’s soft. He doesn’t try to shake him off or jump, he just goes down.

Sure, you’re not allowed to put hands on someone, but that’s not standard the refs have set. The defender doesn’t push him or drag him down and Ibusuki doesn’t contest for the ball.

If that’s applied at every corner we’ll have a rash of penalties.

Marco on for Brisbane with 22 mins to go. A classy pass set up Mileusnic to put it on a plate for another Roar player but he missed an absolute sitter. Marco seems to be playing as a false 9

With no Marco??

Rather confirming Zadkovich’s chops. And as someone said makes our draw look a whole lot better!
