Losing 1-0 away in 37 degrees might not have meant we're shark, as some people are saying, after all.
Not quite the same though. WSW defence has been politely ushering City through on goal since the first minute of the game. I haven't seen a team so lethargic since, ironically, City found themselves 4-0 down at half time against Roar recently.

Oh I do love a good thrashing, especially seeing a goal like that!

Crazy that they just gave Rudan a big contract extension a few weeks ago.

The rule "it's the number of wins, not the goal difference" suddenly looks very attractive for us.

Hope city takes the confidence from this into their game with CCM in a couple of weeks.

Just seen the Antonis goal. Karma is a b*tch, Rudan froze him out for a whole season and he goes and does that against his old team. You love to see it.

Rudan didn't attend the post match press conference.

He's doing like his players, just don't show up. He looked very depleted in the last press conference.

Unfortunately ccm are gonna rip the guys out of a pissweak looking Mac side and likely win the league. They are far and away the best side.

No. It's a kick in the backside to Chiefy, who needs to know that he's not invulnerable. Now we need to get our act together and go and win the league.

What about Cheify has given you the impression he has ever had a belief he's invulnerable? If anything is overly humble and foccussed on the task at hand.

No. I totally respect Chiefy 100%. The post was just a reaction to the result. I still believe that it was a poor performance. I know WSW lost 7-0. Was that because they simply can't defend without Marcelo?

You seem to get these outrageous results in the A-League sometimes and then they don't necessarily mean anything going forward.

Hopefully Western keep their run of form going & can beat the Victory tonight.

Up 1-0 if they can keep this result, it will really help us push the gap between 2nd and the other teams.

Hopefully Penha doesn't injure himself again after scoring against the Victory, that'd really be de ja vu.

Very nearly was de ja vu with Victory coming from behind to lead 2-1 after a Penha opener. I swear they already used this plot etc. But WU get the equaliser and a potential challenger for our top two spot takes a hit, great stuff.

Jets vs Adelaide on paper should be a high scoring one tonight, so probably ends 0-0

Shocking miss, and not the first shocking miss I've seen from him in recent times. He's a weird mixture of brilliance and rubbish.

Excellent goal from Jovanovic to put Adelaide ahead with ten to go.

Adelaide take the points. Jets keeper Ryan Scott almost pinches a late equaliser with a diving header after going up the Reds end for a corner.

That's ok, Nix will take a playoff spot over the Jets anyway on number of wins if they win out, and the Nix need to do that anyway to overhaul WSW. Nothing lost if it finishes level.

Jets need to drop points here, but they are looking very good. They travel away to Adelaide in the last round, so that is unlikely to happen there.
