All likely part of a bigger picture

The team after 28 games, still hasn’t been awarded a penalty

Maybe this commotion may lead to one next year

Auckland will rise once more

Couple of stills here. One of the ball leaving the foot. Another a split second later.
Both look in IMO. This isn't what a ball curving behind the line looks like.
RR
This really is a fantastic video of the Rogerson 'goal'. Even shows the Assistant in the perfect spot to see it cross the line.

Two stills show nothing, especially given the angle of the camera isnt directly in line with the ball or the by-line itself. End of the day the assistant thought it crossed the line which means it must have been close. Corica is a muppet getting all worked up about it, it happens, its football and he's embarrassing himself and AFC by ranting and raving like a fan.
Also the guy who posted that video also posted that he asked Guillermo May after the game if he thought the ball was out and he apparently said yes it was

Corica just couldn't accept that something didn't go the way of his perfect, rich kid club.

10k of tickets sold to the GF?? AFC had more fans at their semi than the other 3 clubs had in total in their respective "Home" games.

If I remember it's on, I might watch it but I'm not cancelling my free weekend off work just for it.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Around 30k by the looks of things:

"More than 16,000 tickets were sold to members on Monday, with all remaining tickets snapped up within hours of being made available to the general public the next day, and it is hoped the attendance can go close to the 29,871 that watched the Wallabies play England in 2016 as the largest in AAMI Park history."

I'm hoping for a Victory win. The ALM is much better when they have a strong fan support. City winning won't do anything for their crowds.

Um, did they call all the police?

I'm with RR, Victory over City. Also because 5th beating 2nd would give me hope.

Only twice has the Toilet seat been lifted by a team that didn't finish Top 2, Victory 17/18 (4th) & Western 21/22 (3rd). So would be first.

However they are the nominal Away team & it has been a season for Away wins.

Hopefully we get an early goal, always a better game when teams have to attack. 0-0

Yeah, 2012 Grand Final

This hasn't turned out to be the good game I was hoping for. Victory have nothing & City are not really pushing for a second. 1-0

Surprised it’s taken this long to get Piscopo on considering the way Victory have been playing.

It hasn't been a great game for the huge crowd. Oh well.  Well done City I guess.  Their women win the plate and their men the grand final. Successful season for them.

So many fouls, just generally ugly. City have defended very well though.

just watched the last 30 or so, was very much fight ball. Not a fan when refs let it get to this stage (what tends to happen for 'big' matches)

Not a great one for the neutrals. No real star or flair players like Broich or Archie or Marco. Arzani and Leckie both what might have beens…a game of disciplined defense. I guess Victory save scoring once in a decade goals for the Nix…

City deserved to win. Victory looked like what they are this year, a limited mid table side. AFC will be kicking themselves. They played one of their worse games of the season at home in a semifinal. AL got what it wanted. A derby final in Australia and a big crowd in NZ for the semifinal

Think that was the saddest part of it all! Gutted to hear he’s leaving as the game needs personalities like him.
