Buffon II
Hall has been off it this season. Bang average today, done by Piper in the derby a few weeks ago.

The standards he has set for Auckland last season and CCM before that have been lacking big time early on this season.

Lol. Just to anti-jinx he’ll have a cracking derby and make team of the week…

The Nix had a Tuesday night game played in a bitterly cold Southerly Storm with an extremely small crowd, maybe 3k if that. I was over in Aisle 12.

Hats off to the The Port, still going strong in an absolute downpour. Not sure the Nix have ever played in conditions this bad. 1-2

MacArthur about to kick off against Victory.

Reckon Diles get sacked if they lose tonight?

Yet on his prematch interview, he seemed calm composed and not like a man under any pressure.

Watched the first half of MAC vs MVC... wow. Both teams so bad.

Special mention to Jing Reec who stood out as so, so bad ... so I'm sure he'll bag a hattie against us.

Was a trip so fair call. Then they almost score another long range one that came off the post.

My question is, the player ruled "offside" was no where near the action, any other players nor near the goaly. The shot went through the Mac defence and off the post. If it had gone in, would the offside player be considered as interfering with play?? I don't think so myself, he was nowhere near it and shouldn't the advantage go to the attacking side??

He's gained an advantage by being in an offside position when the ball was struck. That incident you're questioning is offside every day of the week.

EDIT: Or did you mean if the ball had gone in the net rather than come back off the post. In that case it would have been awarded as a goal.

It was only called for the second attempt where he'd gained the advantage by being offside.

Reec strikes me as the type of player that did really well in youth football cuz he was bigger and stronger than the opposition & never added to him game. He couldn't break thru at CCM initially, didn't last long overseas and I dunno what Victory saw in his loan stint back at CCM that made them offer him a long term deal.

Oh, and it is still 0-0

Yeah i was referring to the original shot that hit the post. If it had gone in. Cause that is when the flag went up.

1-0 to 10 man Perth and up to 4th place they go. They played the second half 1 man short - 2 yellows.

He really has taken his chance at being the head coach with both hands. Glory are gonna be forced into appointing him full time soon.

He seems a real character from his pressers, so hope he does get the gig.

Pity AG didn’t do many interviews during his time in Welly. Touch of Cantona and his seagulls about it all

It feels like we are about to see the top sides put a little distance between them and the pack.

Sydney, AFC & City are clearly the best 3 sides. Roar are pretenders imo, they haven't conceded many goals, so might be able to hang with the leaders a little bit longer.

Rest of the league you just don't know what you are gonna get from week to week.

Well, a good reminder that A league officiating is appalling. McGarry absolutely done by the VAR and ref. Brisbane staff collect two yellows protesting.

And a 94 minute screamer for Brisbane. I think they are happy. It’s hard to tell 😉. 1-0 Brisbane up. A minute to play.
