It seems so. Despite the win I really don't have any confidence in WSW to make the grand final again this season. They are going to have play a lot of games this season if they are to win the title. Getting knocked out of the FFA Cup was a blessing for them.

So they pretty much Greeced the title?

Kinda; but they played well to get to this point. Played a horrible last game , but doesn't really matter now.

Saudi team and fans were fucking despicable ; really poor look for the ACL. Glad they got stuffed.

Fourteen WSW fans got visas. They look like they enjoyed it,

The rest cant travel due to having criminal convictions!

CCM down 1-0 already

CCM still down 1-0 & don't look very likely to score

I'll admit it's been frustrating watching our misfiring frontline the last few weeks but watching CCM try to mount an attack is agony. Poor old Travis Major - he should be in a paddock munching carrots he's that big a donkey.

Probably doesn't help being teamed up with Matt Simon up front.

Josh Rose slides the ball home brilliantly from 40 metres....past his own keeper.

Who got the goal for CCM?

Glen Trifiro. Bent a free kick round the wall into the bottom right hand corner. Keeper should've done much better though.

What the heck is Reddy's positioning up to as Rose passes the ball back.

Made the German news LOL

Pretty embarrassing though to have more away fans at your ground than your own supporters. Especially when they come all the way from Asia LOL

Also made ESPN FC

Really? Sad if true.

Although being from Guangzhou there may have been quite a few Oz-Chinese as well (most of the established ethnic Chinese in NZ and Oz are Cantonese... just cos we is the best and most travelled).

0-0 at HT in Roar v Beijing, with Beijing down to 10 men (sounds like he stomped on someone)

Still 0-0 in the WSW game, Cole taken off after getting basically run over

WSW game goes into HT 0-0

Beijing Guoan beat the Roar with a last minute goal, whilst WSW are ahead via an own goal.

It's a pain in the arse trying to watch two football matches and a cricket match simultaneously. Have missed all the goals so far.

I'd like to see a decent replay of that 2nd goal. Could've sworn he was well offside.

But well done WSW.

Nah, there was a player keeping him onside. Was great work from Takahagi to direct the shot in.

Next week, Wed 4 March, 9:30 pm NZT:

WSW vs Guangzhou Hengda (Evergrande)

...tasty.

Also Guangzhou Fuli did a smash and grab raid away at Gamba Osaka, winning 0-2.  Good signs for the best Cantonese club and this should be a massive boost for them to get out of the group stage.
