Dont call them that , only paid for prats call them that ...

This weekend will be the 2nd time this season Auckland have played SFC, days after Sydney have had to travel midweek to Asia for a game.

Same happened way back in October, Smurfs losing 1-0 at Mt Smart, a few days after losing to Sanfrecce Hiroshima in Japan. Helped AFC that Costa picked up a niggle against Hiroshima and missed the match in Penrose.

Jammy all season the Black Knights.

Though the constant travel famously didn't affect CCM last season with their treble.

Sydney are gonna need a huge effort tonight to overturn the 0-2 scoreline. If they manage to do it, they would host the Final.

Sydney FC lose the tie 2-1 on aggregate despite winning last night 1-0 thanks to a Lolley goal.

Lion City Sailors go through to the final.

This will increase pressure on Talay's job

Not a good look for the a league. The S league must be tiny in comparison.

Lion City seemed to be mostly import players, quite a few of them of A League standard at least. I was really impressed with their defending which gave them a fully deserved win.

To be fair, their attacking performance in the first leg wasn't anything to complain about either.   They would be well matched against any A-League team.

City vs Sanfrecce Hiroshima tonight at 7:45pm.

This might be a bit of a hiding with Sanfrecce well into their season vs a pre-season City. Wonder if Sanfrecce has sent the kids or are taking it seriously?

Macarthur lost 2-0 away last night to Bangkok Utd in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.

They will need to win by 3 goals in the 2nd leg at home if they want to advance (or win by 2 goals to take it to extra time and penalties)

No more easybeats in the AFC Champions.

AFC club competitions rankings (co-efficients) have the Thai league ranked 7th and the A League 10th. The easy beats here might be Macarthur.

This is the 2025–26 AFC Champions League Two, R16 that has two Thai sides remaining. Fellow Thai club Ratchaburi beat Indonesia's Persib 3-0 overnight.

Melb City are going okay in the AFC Champions League Elite (West), sitting 4th behind 3 Japanese clubs in the League Phase. Thailand's Buriram United are 5th.

Macarthur needs to overturn a 0-2 deficit tonight in order to proceed.

If they manage to do that, it puts Aussie within touching distance of China in the AFC coefficients, who they need to surpass in order to get another spot in Asia.
