Personally I liked how they had to do a write up of their squad - essentially an Auckland FC for dummies. 🤣
Doubt there would be much appetite for a ratepayer/taxpayer funded piece of infrastructure like that in Auckland (or practically anywhere in NZ) at the moment. No doubt there will be some NIMBY citizens group or environmental lobby against it for reasons as well.
If they've got the cash then they can pay up front and stop picking our pockets to cover any difference. At least with their last proposal for Western Springs it sounded like the group was going to front the quoted $300 million for the now axed plans.

No I was just calling your bias out - as you know,
On this point, I am dead against the government (local or central) being involved in any way shape or form.
If this thing has legs, they will likely try to make it more digestible vote wise by getting the Warriors involved.
Would love to see their squad analysed under the OIA.

Of course. Like the nzcis has hurricanes and lions, as well as the Nix, and visiting high performance teams, this will focus on high performance teams in akl - but with a lot of govt backing (thanks nix fans?)

It’s a fairly ridiculous approach to mild hyperbole. It’s hardly a Sherlock clapback owning us. She certainly would be if she’d stayed in Zuru a little longer and as far as A league owners (or lack of owners) go, the difference between half a billion and a billion is immaterial.
Bias? Yes, I’m a Nix fan and I follow Auckland. Fairly openly and obviously. And Corica, with his sideline antics, has never won much respect from opponents. Well done on reading the forum and figuring that out too.

i'd much prefer the Nix got involved with the Wellington Saints basketball with the women attached - netball is a bit of a poisened challice right now, although a certain football clkub owner is looking to privatise the national comp in 27/28

The Mowbary family did just give 250k to both Act and National couple weeks ago.
Personally I would love to see this happen, only because in the end it would benefit football nationally, not simply regionally.

Club Olimpia with Tim Payne they have a basketball team.
I do think though, to grow football there ought to be 1 more training base away from Wellington for pro football. All Whites have North Harbour. Phoenix NZCIS. Auckland FC and a future Christchurch entity don't have that yet.

And also the boys who are doing things like acquiring parts of Malibu like it was an old gold rush ghost town!
