Hi guys. Just wanted to know how (if possible) I can set up a brand new topic in the forum. I’m interested in a healthy debate titled: Yellow Fever 🟡⚫️ v The Port 🔵⚫️

Imo just set up a P0rt thread for bants, fan stuff- chants, tifos, travel, pre-game meet ups etc etc

Imo We’re not debating a thing- ‘That Wellington is better or something’ …

I mean, I don't know what the "debate" would be. Currently there's no debate on anything, given you lot haven't even had a game.

Also genuine question (because I can't be arsed googling anything AFC related tbh), but do Auckland fans have their own forum yet?

I don’t think so. The Port like Bill obviously favour the partnership model

No forum for us yet. Maybe ‘debate’ was the wrong word to use. Let’s say ‘discussion’. I have a few questions for the YF. I’m hoping the banter and rivalry between the two sets of supporters kicks off from the get go. Really looking forward to it, and I hope you are too.
Have you guys come up with songs and chants yet? Do you plan to have more home fans than away fans in the first derby? When you make a massive banner, are you going to forget words/ letters again?

Though I’m not fever elite, it’d be cool to choose a thing- I think for the Fever before it was Ronald McDonald House, and see who can fundraise more for it over a season.

Ages ago I was involved in collecting a bunch of tickets to give to Star Jam which was cool.

Don’t need to push the rivalry. It’s gunna happen when the ball gets on the pitch. And your keeper picks it up. Out of his net. Otherwise imo it’s more fun to meet fans from other clubs before or after games and drink and hang out, than have some bogus Milwall/West Ham thing…

It’ll kick off more from Elliot or one of the others celebrating in front the Fever than some dumb hassles about spelling.

Though I am keen for some one digging up that video of Corica being a muppet and Joel Griffiths calling him on it…

Not pushing anything, I’m just saying that I’m looking forward to the rivalry. Hopefully it sparks the YF into becoming a lot less boring and hopefully we will see your stadium numbers increase this time around

No I’m just a C+ speller, meaning I can yes get 4 letter player names bang on

Port should do their own Forum. Mods obviously spent hours setting this one up, and maintaining it. Don’t be lazy, get your own one

Do you watch the A-League? YF was easily one of the strongest active supports last season. Well above league average attendance too unless i'm mistaken

Hopefully we see some sustained actual fans turn up to your matches. History tells us that the Auckland football fanbase just isn't strong enough to sustain a professional club.

Third time lucky? Or the third nail in the coffin for Auckland football? For the sake of NZ football, I hope you do well and can maintain a fanbase.

Good luck.

Just spit-balling ideas here but I think it would be pretty cool if the Port and the YF combined during AW home games so our boys have one massive and loud supporters group whenever they come home.

From what I saw during the Euros it doesn't seem out of the question for fans of rival clubs to get together for their country.

This YF founder, HardNews, was 20 when YF kicked off. Do the P0rt and AFC have similar long lasting dedication? Not many A league owners have lasted that amount of time.

I didn't post about the Belgian guy, but I've been away in Auckland this weekend, so only just catching up with stuff now.

As far as I've been told though, all are done deals. 👍

Why would we have chants for them. The Fever are "Supporters of the Wellington Phoenix" not some anti plastic clubs group so why would we have Auckland chants we don't have specific ones for any other clubs?

I laugh until I hurt every time I hear about how the Auckland pre-season games are the Waiheke fans and a small group just spending 80 out of 90 minutes singing songs about the Phoenix.

You could try supporting your team first.

Tbh there is a Sydney FC specific chant (Your whole team is scared of Gargamel). Wouldn't surprise me if we do have one eventually, but the AFC fan group doesn't seem to understand the notion of letting things develop over time.

"Auckland C, Auckland C, Auckland C" will probably do for now.

Yep, as I said don't expect too much. If chants come they come. Id expect we'd just change the same old ausies chant to same old Aucklanders or something like that.

The thing is that if you go to the AFC Facebook group, at least half of the chants people are suggesting are directly anti-Nix ones. Heavens knows what they'll do when they play other clubs. Probably still do the anti-Nix chants.

Half of our chants you reckon? We have one song that we sing that briefly mentions the Phoenix 😂. Who do you support any Doloras? I think I saw that you mentioned AFC as well?

Haha I didn’t know that I (or my fellow supporters) were South American Waiheke supporters! Do you think that because you may have seen a flare in a photo you just assumed that it was the  Waiheke mob?

Ps, fantastic people anyway, I hope they do join us!

Keep it light hearted and develop a friendly rivalry off the pitch and let the players fight it on the pitch.

What the fudge is a port soldier. Makes about as much sense as calling a fan group 'the port' when their home ground is 10km from the port.  Or having a catch phrase which is about themselves rather than their team.

In fact, the closest the Port will come to a port is when they are in the away bay at Sky Stadium.
