I’m not doubting your source but how do you know that AFC have been given his name or even know his employer?

He does sound a right tosser.

No doubt he was in that Mt Smart away bay cheering for the Soccerroos against the AWs. They seemed nearly all Brit expats.

Certainly seems is an element in The Port that are very unlikeable.

He is the same guy involved in the Black and Yellow podcast bullshark and i can assure you AFC are aware of him. He is a bit silly and is pretty easy to find on line where it lists his employer.

Suspect that he won’t be seen again in the port next week.

Unless of course the rest of them do the right thing and tell him to take a hike.

11k for Auckland is the equivalent of 3.5k at a Wellington game adjusted for population. Don't think many would be happy with that.
Adjusted population is such a cop out.

It's quite embarrassing for the Nix that it took another NZ team after 15 years to get a record crowd.

Also funny considering Dome had a lot to say negatively about AFC.

This kind of nonsense makes me more determined that there should be active-support alternatives to The Port. The bit about doxxing the B&Y podcast guy reminds me uncomfortably as to when I got Facebook stalked by a Port character who disliked T-AFC's existence (pretty sure not the same guy). Not All The Port obviously, but a few bad apples.

Not sure how we're supposed to get bigger crowds than selling out the cake tin, which we've done on numerous occasions.

You call it a cop out, I call it a statistical reality. It obviously isnt 1 to 1, but it gives some useful context.

Imagine if any of the Phoenix leaders had been half the twit this guy allegedly is. Hopefully the fans are putting pressure on the club and vice versa.
Either you’re a family club or you’re one with a guy who celebrates stadium bans. And if you’ve got a few characters like that then you need a self policing fan base backed up by a strong club line.

I've been told by another AFC fan that he will be at the derby (veracity tbc). Probably best if everyone gives him a wide berth and doesn't engage in any nonsense he tries to initiate.

Technically we haven't even sold out the cake tin ever in a season or finals game. Even the semi against the Victory they got 1,000 less than capacity (with no added seats).

Pretty embarrassing given that the Nix were the only professional football team in NZ for over a decade. It also shows you that sports are being less and less attended too in NZ.

It was sold out, a few tickets not being used doesnt make it not a sellout. Not embarrassing in the slightest.

But yes, live sport attendance definitely on a general decline. The evisceration of the middle class by successive governments having a lot to do with it.

Really not sure whats embarrassing about a club football team in Wellington not selling out its stadium. Some people have a friggen funny idea of embarrassing.
What is embarrassing is our largest city having the lowest attendance in the A League in NZ. 😁

I thought 10k was necessary to cover the stadium costs
Yep thats right but think it shows that isnt a realistic target. Such a bloody shame we dont gave a realistic alternative.

What it shows is just how much the Stadium Trust are ripping the Nix off. The Lions moved out to Porirua Park and they were getting discounted better than what the Nix are being charged. That Stadium Trust are just a bunch on "W"ankers.

If Auckland settle down on a consistant 11k, thats good. If you watch the games at AAMI, other than the Victory V City game, it almost always looks 3/4 empty, especially when City are playing.

We all dream of the Nix getting big crowds but the truth is, that after 18 years, we still have a hardcore 6k showing up.

Check the attendances for Cricket games there and the stadium was designed specifically for 1 day Cricket, hence the Oval shape.

Perhaps a Photo of this Bully would be of help so that Red Badge might actually do their Job and or at least give fans an idea who to avoid. I hope the Port sort out the issue, Just like the YF did with a few drunks early in the history, that were intent on spraying Beer everywhere.

The YF self policing is one action I am very proud of the YF doing.

From what I can tell from the Reddit thread, this guy is probably a more immediate danger to peaceful AFC fans than he is to the away bays.

Didn't make Saturday's game (playing cricket), but I'm told a Port identity approached T-AFC and asked (friendly-like) why we weren't standing with them. No shade to the guy, but I would say a good answer to that would be "people like Bradley might headbutt us for unauthorised chants"

I know stadium bans are a thing, but how do they work when anyone can buy a ticket without proof of identity?

Even without that enforcement difficulty, if they’re implemented at club level then how do they work for other clubs/codes/venues? Do the clubs and stadium operators all have an agreement to honour each other’s bans?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for kicking this jerk out and I’m sure 99% of the Port feel the same way, but I wonder how it could be done in practice.

Still comeinto the zone if it makes you feel safer. Inbetween this and my last comment, I am thinking, that the AFC fan on the end of a headbutt, should lay a complaint with the Police. Get this guy dealt with properly. Obviously has anger issues and I'm surprised his employer still retains him after that Pod Business.

this incident in question is being looked into - we are in the gathering evidence stage of this, we have had a few conflicting reports about this incident so still looking into it and can't comment further at this stage - but I can confirm the club and the FRG are aware of it.

Auckland based host of the pod was accosted at the AFC Reserves vs Nix reserves game in Auckland earlier this season. He was then subject to attacks on his personal and professional lives after the fact and resigned from the pod over safety concerns.

I've heard many stories about this bloke other than this, including entering the field of play looking for fights after matches, doing AFC related graffiti on away trips and encouraging other Port members to be violent, on top of his propensity to be banned from stadiums abroad (& support of the Socceroos). Second or third hand, so taken with a grain of salt.

The fact that hes still around the Port (and allegedly has access to their socials) tells you plenty about their leadership group. Im interested to see what the club do about it, glad to have confirmation they're looking at it.

From afar it seems that from early on a number of Brit expats in Auckland, have joined in with The Port (some even in their leadership group), and brought with them that nasty hooligan type approach. Hate everything (incl AWs) that isn't Auckland FC.

Not easy I imagine for others within The Port, to chuck these guys out now, if there is a fair number of them, and they are very much part of the active support.
Not helped by Nic Becker seeming to say 'no problem to see here'.

I dunno how shocking it is that a CEO is using spin to paint a rosier than might be the truth picture - I think this is pretty standard in business let alone the cutthroat world of sport.

That said he personally went and visited the WSW fan who got attacked and made sure the attacker got a ban (although like someone said earlier the effectiveness of those bans hard to police).
