As some have pointed out, the A-League license requires the teams at the level they have cut. The Roar's tweet is now deleted also.

If that's the case then it's yet another example of the Roar going off on social media, half cocked. I know they have no money, but that's no excuse for doing the basics wrong. They really never seem to learn.

Agree. Would Uffie be interested in the Roar job?
Not in Sydney. A club no better resourced than the Nix. Likely not I imagine.

No, he's an ambitious coach and not only is the roar budget likely lower or similar than the Phoenix they also have worse facilities and are generally more shambolic.

So, anyone else had a listen to this? Really interesting stuff, strange things about at this club. Absolute basket case really.

Kaz Patafta. A blast from the past. Still only 34, but basically walked away from the pro game in his mid 20's. Was some talent in his early days.

See that he has a law degree, so hopefully he's success in the business side of the game.

Both him & Zac Anderson started a crypto business together, so I don't have much hope.

You'd think it cant be because of results this season so far. Must be some other reason.

4th after 4 rounds is ok, so yeah.

Other news appears to suggest it could  be performance related:

"New Roar CEO Kaz Patafta confirmed McPherson’s exit on Monday evening, making clear that “high expectations” for the club’s women’s team had not been met and that a new head coach would be installed “imminently”. "

“Garrath’s contribution to the club has been outstanding. However, we believe it is time for the Liberty A-League Women’s program to be rejuvenated. We have set high expectations for our Women’s team and want to see certain improvements across the board.
“An announcement regarding the future of the Brisbane Roar Women’s Head Coach will be made imminently.”
https://aleagues.com.au/news/aleague-women-garrath-mcpherson-brisbane-roar-head-coach-exit/

It could also be playing style (or even players?) driving this decision.
