It's a joke of an award. All based around hype, not around actual ability. When Robbie Slater is one of the people who decides who wins points you know that it isn't going to judged very well.

Agreed, it's barely credible. Tonight's award was especially perverse considering it was obvious to anybody with even the thinnest knowledge of football that almost everything Nagai touched turned to shit.

Not sure who awarded the points but it surely can't have been Simon Hill, who politely labelled Nagai 'livewire' but didn't fail to point out his many poor decisions, botched passes and missed chances, including a penalty.
