My homeboy Ben, you mean? ;-)

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

A hole as big as the one Brisbane Roar are in.

How long has Ben Williams had a beard?

I have to say, in all honesty, he was a really nice fella I got some interesting and surprising insights about him. I did also tell him that I would be hung, drawn and quartered by The Fever for getting a pic taken with him  :-)

I'll be the one with the "I'm with Ben" t shirt over my stripey

I wonder if the book that that article is based on has any history of the NZ franchises. The same sort of stuff was going on over here with team collapses and Terry's financial strife.

From that Guardian article:

FFA have seemed to learn from its lessons and leaned towards consortium ownership groups. Spreading the financial risk amongst multiple owners rather it being burdened on one individual, increases the opportunity of growth and stability, which can be seen at Melbourne Victory, Wellington Phoenix, Adelaide United and Western Sydney Wanderers.

New CBA between the PFA & FFA finally signed

players get 30% of any additional revenue from the next tv deal. Does that mean they also get less money if/when the next tv deal is worth less?

They'll be threatening strike action if they don't!

Rather explosive newspaper report in Aussie for fans to wake up too

Thing to remember is that the FFA can ban anyone without the person having any legal recourse and have done many bans that would be over turned if they were able to appeal.

I'm more shocked that that is her husband and not her grandpa

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

Seems they may have mislabeled some of the fans in their gallery of banned fans, so might be some legal proceedings to follow.

The issue has become so serious that stadiums are now moving to ban the local derbies between the Wanderers and Sydney FC until the FFA can contain the turmoil.

LOL. FFA wants another Sydney side so there can be even more derbies.

FTFFA, clueless muppets.

FFA boss David Gallop admits there is a problem but says anti-social behaviour around games goes beyond football’s jurisdiction.

“It’s a problem from parents, school teachers to police,” he said.

“By and large, behaviour within our venues has improved but many of the problems now exist outside the venues.’’

What a dickwad, myopic, Pontius Pilate sort of attitude.  Arrogance and failure to accept any responsibility.  If there was no A-League would this sort of behaviour be seen at the same level in another platform (see note that League has not had the same level of issues)?

Clearly the A-League is allowing that sort of behaviour to continue.

England tidied itself up and didn't go all ostrich head in the sand.  No nads Gallop - that's what you are.

MELBURNIANS STATEMENT

In response to the recent article, published 22/11/15.

As a terrace, Melburnians exist first and foremost for support of the club we love. As the active support for Melbourne City, like all active supporters in the country, we have faced trials and tribulations of restrictions on our activities.

Active support brings a unique environment unmatched in any sporting code across our nation. Without the massive amount of passion that the Active supporters of all ten clubs bring, the league would not have developed into the success it is today.

On this basis, the leadership group have decided that it is in the best interests, not only of active fans but all fans across the nation, to abandon our active bay for Friday night’s clash with Perth Glory at AAMI Park.

The message we wish to convey is one firstly of solidarity to those who have had their details unfairly exposed. This is not an issue of if what they did is right or wrong, we do not support any anti-social behaviour, but rather, it is a stand against the infringement of individual’s privacy for the profit of News Corp.

The second message is directed squarely at the FFA; enough is enough. Active support can no longer be treated with the level of contempt that the governing body has shown. We will not be treated as second class citizens any longer. The FFA must treat active support with the respect that it is due rather than equating passion with criminality. The presence of private, undercover, security companies like Hatamoto continues in terraces across the country and we believe this infringement of the rights of innocent sports fans to attend and enjoy the game without having their privacy violated.

So we invite all of our active members to join us in our stand.

We will not tolerate this disrespect any longer; we are not just another number; football in this country would not exist without the passion of its fans.

You know what?

Three or four weeks ago I might have given a shark.

Right now I'm feeling a tad sorry for the clubs and the people who have been named in the article but may have been banned without much cause.  However as flawed as this ban procedure is I'd be surprised if many of the 198 haven't brought it upon themselves.

Right now it should be the FFA fronting this - but of course that would mean leadership and responsibility.

Right now all I can see a re a bunch of Aussie Donald Trumps putting the boot into a competition/sport being run by another bunch of Aussie Donald Rumsfelds.

Fudge em all.  Wankers.
