I don't quite understand the last few posts but have gained the impression

That Rudan is a bit of a ladies man?

Has slept around

And left the city due to the lack of quality he could pull?

That seems to be the story.

Well we haven't re-signed any off contract players so far!

Some got better offers; others were rejected (eg everyone's favourite Irish sheriff). If we managed to get Krishna back after a year under Kalezic, then I doubt things got worse under Rudan.

No he could not cope with that competition again. #OffPitchFun

If that were true wouldn't the cops have been involved?

Maybe they couldn't rule out Chris Gayle?

So, is a journalist gonna find out the answers to those pretty quick statements?

How the hell is he a ladies man; quite the opposite if rumors he stalked someone for months are true.

Note, I am not saying this happened. I have no knowledge except what I read on a link someone else posted which said that event was 'unrelated'.

I called it early, you'd have to say. Strange unit is being kind after what else has come out about him since leaving.

I knew about his altercations with MM before that; they were pretty well known.

No one can take away the fact that he turned us into a semi-decent football team; but jeez I hope we beat WU to a pulp next season.

The drama on this thread is far better than anything you get in reality tv. Scooch over Love Island

Why stop at ladies when you can indulge in peasant women and scullery maids.

This

Why would you need Netfix when you get constant soap opera drama from the Nix?

I have a feeling this is going to run and run with lots more stuff still to be revealed.

As long as it's consenting adult humans then that's not relevant at all.

(Unless you're suggesting the involvement of a player?!?)

Strange how a guy who names his account 'west is best' is a Nix fan from day 1? Didn't expect Western United to start poaching the Feverites too! Definitely Rudan

I think the fact that no one could have more of a hard on for Rudan than Rudan himself is more of a giveaway.

Also that he just happens to know that Rudan had the second lowest budget. I may be wrong, but it doesn't seem like that would be common knowledge amongst fans, especially the specifics of knowing it was the second lowest

Except that is incorrect, Nix doesn't have the second lowest. So it is either they don't really know or they are trying to make up another fake fact to make WelNix look bad compared to Rudan.

It might have been true at the start of the season that the nix had a cheap playing squad, Rudan said he didn't get all the targets he wanted and had left money on the table.

I read that as second lowest budget out of all of those Phoenix teams he mentioned. Any chance that is accurate?

So how do we feel now? Do we feel better? How much does it change the successes of last season? Would we still have hired him?  What did we know before we hired him? Should we just lock this thread down and draw a line under it the way our coach has done?

If it is it's a credit to the management team. We'd performed poorly the year before- few players came in as champions. We were burned by Fink and Kosta etc.

I was under the impression we were all going to (very actively and vocally) loathe him for all eternity and hope he crashes and burns his way to the wooden spoon with the bitumens this season before getting the sack for some sort of unsavoury scandal. Or is that just me

Still kinda enjoyed the last season. Looks like there may be some bad behaviour and character flaws, which came with the charisma.

Well that's not great. Just wana focus on the Nix and the football, rather than make this forum entirely about organising some sad lynch mob. Sure if I get the chance to boo him I will, but at the mo, it could be our last year of football...

After hearing about the stalking, he lost all credibility, that story it’s fricking creepy. #metoo old story to brush over.

As a deeper questions for the mods (and Boxy as he doesn’t play on Twitter)

How much of the stuff around Rudan did you guys know or hear about but wouldn’t/couldn’t/didn’t say anything or share because of perhaps being heads of the fan forum and having an influence over how fans can feel about the club?

You guys will hear a lot of shark from fans but potentially sitting in behind the scenes quietly going ‘yeah that’s not what’s happening’

One of the reasons I ask is because it would seem that the story around Rudan and this article on Mel McLaughlin is not new when you read the date lines, but it’s only popping up now. It interests me what else is out there but not discussed or perhaps is false stories circulating

Yes, because we can learn from it. Asa WU fan I would like to know this stuff and would not surprised if he pulls some more stunts.

I followed the Mel - Rudes thing through Aussie forums and press at the time. And when he came here I just assumed he was separated from the wife, until the Home sick out clause came up.

PS Have we seen her Wife in Wgtn or photo's of them together?

Not defending him as thats not possible but wasnt it said she was here in January. Seem to recall seeing or hearing someone from some coffee bar say they had spoken to her.

This has certainly made the off season entertaining but i hope like hell it all  dies down as we get into the new season the last we need is him taking up time here time we ignore the snake.

The sex scandal stuff is just funny. The real scandal is the way he has attempted to destroy the public image of WPFC, enlisting the help of respected members of the NZ football community (as well as social media trolling) to spread his smears and negative gossip, threatening our future and our ability to rebuild... just to cover his tracks on his way out. That shark is unforgiveable.
