Slagging isn't banned.

The rules are defined as justifying the slagging is required.  Mainly it was related to early times on here when the front page would have twenty posts after a match all just saying so and so is sh*t with no definition of why people thought it.

The idea is to encourage debate about a subject instead of mindless spamming.

I know what you're saying and agree with it.

Although, just to be annoying, cos I'm bored, the rules do say that this isn't the place for slagging players:

"Forum rules
sl*gging players off. The forums are not a place for sl*gging players, fans, or officials off."

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

that was to do with personal insults I think. One of the early posts was calling Paston or someone a Muppet - and it didnt make the concept of football forums look too good to a lot of people if it was merely going to to be childish name calling

Hmm. I could be pedantic but I've lost interest now.

Mr News is right. Robbie Kruse is a cock!

I am not familiar with this word. Does it mean someone who gets their personal act together, earns a contract in Germany and impresses in his first few appearances for his national team?

We have also learnt that the forum rules are a little bit open to interpretation.

Which is great for those who would rather apologise afterwards than ask for permission.

Always keen to have kiwis in the youth spots IF they can cut it. However why not keep this kid on the books if he's making a good looking olyroo side?

http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/news-display/Pavlovic-working-for-future/46367

It has not been plain sailing in the New Zealand capital either. His first season at the Phoenix was hampered by injury and he has found himself on the bench behind regular starters Chris Greenacre and Paul Ifill again this campaign after breaking his arm just before the season started.

A red card for a rash challenge on Steve Pantelidis in a game against Perth Glory in December simply added to his woes.

"It's been frustrating to say the least," Pavlovic admitted. "I'm definitely not writing this season off but just looking forward to the remainder of this season, then hopefully a good off-season and to come back as hungry as ever."

"The ball is in my court. If I stay injury-free and work hard I think things will work out for me."

Right now the focus for the club is solely on the minor semi-final against Perth Glory.

"There is a great buzz around the team. We all want to work for each other and we don't want to let anyone down."

And if the Phoenix go all the way and win the Grand Final, Pavlovic will be adding to his tattoo collection. "I'll definitely get a Phoenix somewhere."

""My first game of football my coach told me to play in midfield and I didn't know where that was so I just stood up front and ever since then I've been a striker.""

Why does that not surprise me...

Did anyone else see him down at four kings sunday night watching the Heart game? Well I say watching the game, but it was more like watching the match odds. Unfortunately for him is bets were worse than his first touch.

Seriously though, he was pretty into it, and he was real pissed when Perth scored. Cross reference this to the post in the matchday thread about his celebrations vs. that of Nick Ward's, and he seems like a pretty genuine supporter of the club. Surely better to have around than someone like G**, who was crap, but didn't even seem to care about the nix?

The Pav wrote:

As a young kid growing up in western Sydney you were more likely to find Mirjan Pavlovic running around with a rugby ball tucked under his arm copying the moves of his favourite team, Parramatta Eels, than kicking a football.

But at aged 11 Pavlovic's sporting future changed. "I kept getting hurt in the league games and Mum wouldn't let me play anymore so I started playing football," said the Wellington Phoenix striker who still goes to Eels games when he gets home to Sydney.

Well sh*t, that explains his attempts at beating a man, i.e Fuifui style runnign straight into them

Pav scored for Sydney United in a 2-0 win today, that along with his goal from last weekend takes his NSWPL tally for this season up too .... 2 goals in 8 games.
