He is rubbish and should be cut loose. Waste of a wage (which he then spends in the TAB mostly it appears).

So it all comes back to the club? Maybe keeping pav on was a term of the sponsorship deal.

A wage we'd still have to pay and have against the cap.  Agree we shouldn't have extended but we have so let's hope it all clicks and he suddenly becomes less Psycho and more striker.

Undoubtedly horrendous, but a YF highlight was watching him go for a hattrick... Pavlovic, Mirjan Pavlovi-ic...

At the time, he had scored more goals than Harry Kewell had during the season. I tried to start "Pav's got more goals than Harry Kewell" but nobody else was feeling it.

So if Pav isn't exactly setting the NSWPL alight, does that mean that Andy Bevin and Ethan Galbraith would be better striking options for the Nix than him? They both seem to be doing better than Pav playing in the same competition.

I am sure we could come to some mutual agreement with him - it happens all the time in football, and at Phoenix before as well?

Nah,the wage would still be taken from the salary cap. This is to discourage teams from cutting players I guess.

Id give him the assist there too.

What a horrible pitch

Ah, that's not ideal that it still goes to salary cap!

I thought he had potential when I first seen him incidentally. Sadly, he hasn't come close to reaching that potential.

I would like to know what Ricki sees in him, apart from lots of running. He's had a lot of chances, and more than several other players. That game where he got a double was the only game I can remember where he played well.

17’ minutes in Mirjan Pavlovic gave the Reds the lead with an audacious strike from 35-yards. Controlling a loose clearance from Manly United goalkeeper Dylan Mitchell, the former Wellington Phoenix FC striker ‘dinked’ the ball into an empty net to open the scoring.

He had two more chances in the 38’ and 41’ minute, but struck the woodwork and hurried an effort over the bar.

On another outing he could have bagged five goals, it just wasn’t Pavlovic’s day, despite looking a class above whenever he had the ball.

Pavlovic found himself in on the action in attack regularly throughout the match, seeing another effort well held before the rebound of his deflected strike was narrowly blazed over by Glavas soon after.

Pavlovic ran onto Glavas’ flick header minutes later and produced a powerful goal bound strike that was blocked by Norval while Urosevski saw his effort tipped wide in spectacular fashion by Kolak at the other end after the ensuing counterattack.

Pavlovic unconventionally flicked the ball over Rockdale’s centre halves for Glavas to produce the simplest of finishes as he tucked the ball past Norval to level the scores.

Just as the crowd began to retake their seats after celebrating Glavas’ return to the scoreboard they were brought to their feet once again as Pavlovic produced a stunning low 30-yard drive to sneak the ball inside the far post and give his side the lead.

Pavlovic flicked Stejpan Paric’s free-kick just wide in the final quarter hour before Urosevski miscued his finish under intense pressure from Mitchell Speer at the other end soon after.

It is generally considered that the NSWPL is higher quality than the ASBPrem.

Thats what I thought, but he seems to be scoring for fun, and maybe playing a different position..?

3 goals so far this season, that is hardly scoring for fun.

Pav is #7 in red, highlights start @ 8:20. Must say Pav's assist in the goal @ 9:34 isn't half bad. He scores @ 10:05.

His goal looks like it was assisted by the poor pitch.

But great to see him doing so well

That was what last season was. But, with another year on the contract, you're spot on.

My guess: bipolar disorder. If so, I'm very sorry for him, but it would explain a lot.

It was my immediate thought though. Sounds like we probably shouldn't speculate, or go into this too much.

Makes it weird that they released such a statement though, it can only increase speculation and/or pressure.
