Happy anniversary kiwi pie!. One year ago today was the Victory's last away win. It is 643 days since their last away win in Australia.

Where do the fever sit at Etihad? Is it advisable to buy GA tix and sit anywhere? With Tuesday being a public holiday in Melbourne is this game going to sell out?

Considering that the Melbourne derby didn't sell out, this definitely won't.

He does look quite skillful, will be interesting to see if can make the transition to senior football. He is a Melbourne lad and I would have thought that Heart may have been a better fit as I don't see him getting ahead of Archie or Marco and don't think he is the type of player to replace Gui.
Edit: See the deal is for 2 and 1/2 years. Probably looking at replacing Marco if Marco leaves at the end of the season.

If the MV forum is to be believed he has the ego of someone that has already made it. May not fit in with Ange's culture.

Oh really? Striker with an ego isnt bad - if he's scoring though.
Apparently at valencia they were touting him as the next wayne rooney??
He hasnt been given much of a shot with them, but has looked alright when given game time

Yet he is sitting on the bench in the A-League. Sometimes people don't live up to the hype, 'the next Harry Kewell'.

Melbourne Victory's investment in young Australian talent received yet another boost today, with the club confirming it has signed 18-year-old attacker Jesse Makarounas and 17-year-old defender Scott Galloway – both on deals that will see them remain at the club until the conclusion of the 2014/15 season.

Ange is really overhauling the fast. But by my count, that must make 24 players on senior contracts in their squad.

Ange is a cock, but he's brilliant for league.

I like tautologies because I like them.

Funny you should say that...

Victory fans must love us, they get Rojas and a team that can't win in Melbourne. And we get Ward and Cernak.

Traore out for the season, Flores injured and Leijer suspended. Looks like they may be in trouble this weekend.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Sounds like they will be giving another kid his debut. That will mean 32 players have put on a Victory shirt this season.

They miss Archie far more than they will miss Flores, and the same thing with Milligan and Leijer.

Irrelevant, they won't win it. My pick is for a WSW v Roar final.

Only hitch is it requires Glory to beat Victory to happen.

Can't see Glory beating Melbourne.

If Glory can play like they did against Adelaide again, I think they are in with a chance. They let Adelaide have all the ball, but pressed them well enough to force key turnovers and win the ball back in dangerous positions. They played a very WSW type of style, actually.

We pressed the Victory high, and won the ball back in positions which allowed us to get shots away without having to do a whole lot of passing. If the Glory do that as well I think they are a chance to score some goals (especially against the dodgy Victory backline), they just need to hope that Nagai doesn't have another shocker in front of goal.
