Yep, Pappas apparently said Mauragis' return next season was a big part of why they were willing to let McGarry go.

Pretty good deal that for WU. One of the emerging talents in the league.

Good deal for him. Hopefully now he can show some consistency and keep getting some decent minutes on the pitch.

If there was ever a club that'd be likely to get the best out of him it'll be the Mariners.

Really happy to see that his gamble of leaving with 18 months left on his deal with the Jets & taking the 6 month deal with CCM has worked out for him.

Can't say he's not a ballsy character that's for sure!

High-flying Western Sydney Wanderers have sanctioned the departures of defender Daniel Wilmering and third choice keeper Jack Warshawsky, with second choice gloveman Daniel Margush also looking to exit Wanderland.

The future of out of favour midfielder Terry Antonis - who no longer trains with the first team - is also up in the air, though he remains contracted for one more season.

Wilmering -> Jets
Warshawsky -> CCM

God that's a good re-signing.
If he can keep up his form for at least a couple of years he'll leave for a pretty penny before 2026!

Wouldn't surprise me if the board also talked about Popas future and therefore haven't briefed him.

The rumour was, Popa had to decide to leave for Uffie to take over. I would assume they don't wanna spend the cash to pay him out.

I read that McGuire is on the outer at Man United, I wonder if he'd shore up our defence? He's not as quick as Wootten but he does have experience at the top level.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
