Used the threat of Auckland to score a better deal??
Maybe Auckland decided no. Not been in particularly good form this season.

Baffling to me how A League pundits keep praising him to the high heavens, even talking him up as a Socceroo prospect. I'm not saying he's a terrible player but he has made far too many errors to be getting all the attention.

Brisbane Roar are looking to snatch Macarthur Bulls midfield enforcer Kearyn Baccus on a multi-year deal for next season and beyond.
Baccus, who is in his second season with the Bulls, is highly rated by the Sydney club and it’s likely they will make him a counter offer to remain at Campbelltown Stadium.
However, it’s the length of the contract which appears to be the sticking point with Roar chiefs willing to hand the 32-year-old the security of a two-season deal, and Macarthur, at this point, only willing to go to 12 months.

Haven't seen much of him but the championship will be a jump for him looking at his cv.

Just shows what could happen for a bunch of kiwis who could sign for auckland. Go from an average European league, have one great season and bounce back with a better offer.

I thought he's been fairly average in an average team, so a great move for him all things considered.
Also makes me thinks comparatively, NIX players should be aiming higher transfers come the end of the season.

Andy Harper thinks Dan Hall to Auckland is a strong possibility.

He's no Krishna, and don't think he's even played for Fiji yet, but some of the big Fijian diaspora in Auckland could claim him as one of their own, so increase the fan base.

Would be great to see him back in the league - thought he was class last season.

So Sydney or City then?

Given the rumoured further drop in player squad budgets across the league for next season, I doubt he'll be staying in the ALM. Saudi 2nd tier like Béni Nkololo?

He's probably one of the best finds ever in the a league. Clearly could do well in far better leagues and is still young.

He left the Glory, to move to Newcastle for personal reasons. Now he is going back the other way for personal reasons. I get things in life change but that feels kinda ridiculous.

Josh Risdon was also linked with the Glory on commentary during the Glory game on the weekend.

The annoying bit here is CCM are gonna get nothing in return, despite rehabbing his career.

At least with Tulio, they made a profit.

If he helps them win the AFC Cup with it's $USD1.5M ($AUD2.27M) payday, they will be pretty happy.
