Alot like the Nix, they will rely on Academy talent hopefully stepping up quickly, and then recruiting new influential visa players. Their visa recruitment has been top notch the last few seasons, and also Nix like they seem to have a stable quality coaching setup.
Very early days but wouldn't surprise if top 6 is VUC, Sydney, Mariners, Nix & Auckland - with either Melb City or WSW.
The City Football Schools program starts them young (age 5-14), so bit earlier than say most kids would join the Weenix Academy. No ideal how long it's been operating but if it was any less than say 6 years, you would only expect the first crop to be coming through now.

Adelaide just recently got in a new Dutch director of football. Probably has to do with his influence and connections.
At face value it looks a pretty good barometer of the league's financial state. Victory love a flashy forward: Toivonen, Gestede, Nani, Honda, etc. This bloke looks decidedly ordinary, but mind you so did Zawada
Victory didn't adjust to covid and then were hit hard by the death of Biasin , they we're told they were unlikely to stay solvent even before the issues with their fan base attacking rival players with a bucket and the drop in the apl money, so likely things are hard.
They've probably taken a harder financial hit than most a league sides (relative to their normal budgets, I'm sure they still spend more than us)
