Wowzers, if they get that kinda cash it would be amazing. Wonder how much of it would be linked to him achieving things.

This is what the a league needs... good transfers to help keep things viable whilst generating interest too.

Appears to have been some confusion in the reporting. The team just sold someone for 7 mil, so have cash to spend on Kikianis.

SFC have signed German-born Turkish attacking midfielder Ahmet Arslan from Bundesliga 3. club RW Essen.
https://sydneyfc.com/news/sydney-fc-sign-prolific-turkish-attacking-midfielder/

Is this mid season transfer window the strongest increase in quality across the league in recent memory (if not all time)? There were a few youngsters that moved overseas, but overall most that left weren't key players but a lot of quality coming into the league - mix of players aiming for WC spots and foreigners to plug gaps/increase quality across squads.

An Isuzu UTE A-League champion calls time on a storied 16-year career ❤️⚽

Josh Risdon is set to make his final pro appearance in Perth Glory's match this weekend.

Since making his Perth Glory debut at just 18 years of age, Risdon went on to make 170 A-Leagues appearances.… pic.twitter.com/ZXa8wCNhsl

His career never really reached the highs that we expected when he broke thru as an 18 year old.

On The Attack has learnt that heading the Wanderers’ list of defensive targets is Socceroos’ veteran Milos Degenek, who is struggling for game time at his Cypriot club APOEL.

Western Sydney also wants Auckland FC defender Dan Hall, who has been a rock for the Kiwi outfit since heading to New Zealand after helping Central Coast Mariners win the treble in 2024.
Hall’s Auckland contract expires at the end of the club’s 2025-26 campaign. It’s understood he is keen for a move to Asia, but the Wanderers are working to secure him.

The other defender Western Sydney is pursuing is Melbourne City’s Argentine import German Ferreyra.
As previously revealed in this column, Ferreyra is also wanted by City’s arch rivals Melbourne Victory, but the Wanderers have also entered the race to secure the South American, whose two-year City deal will expire at the end of the finals series.

Macarthur FC striker Harry Sawyer is close to securing a move to Melbourne Victory.
The towering 29-year-old marksman has scored 13 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions in two seasons with the Bulls.
However, too many of those appearances, particularly in the closing months of Macarthur’s 2025-26 campaign, were off the bench – not to Sawyer’s liking.

Victory’s pursuit of Sawyer suggests that off-contract Greek striker Nikos Vergos won’t be retained beyond the finals series.

Japanese forward Charles Nduka’s Victory deal is also set to expire, but he has done enough since joining the club in January to earn a new contract.

A League clubs need to do a better job nailing these kids onto longer contracts to protect themselves. Their only hope is for residuals down the line.

Toure at Norwich has 9 goals and 3 assists in 11 matches in the Championship. He could go for some very decent coin soon, especially if he as a good world cup.

Jordan Bos another who might cost a pretty penny after the WC. Has had a great season in the Dutch comp.

Despite having signed a pre–agreement with Perth Glory, Mariners attacking weapon Miguel Di Pizio seems set to join Western Sydney Wanderers.

On The Attack has learnt that 20-year-old Di Pizio, whose contract with the Mariners is expiring, has found a technicality in his agreement with the Glory that allows him to get out of the deal.

While Perth seemed to have missed out on Di Pizio, the Glory will secure the services of 20-year-old midfielder Lucas Scicluna from the Newcastle Jets.

It seems the Jets aren’t happy with Scicluna about his decision to leave, which probably explains his lack of first-team football in recent weeks.

Another young Newcastle midfielder, 19-year-old Alex Nunes, could also leave the Jets.

Bit of a weird move for him since Jets would have ACL football too, so surely you'd want to stay at the Jets if your staying in the A-League. Maybe the Jets are spending all their money on Rufer instead..

He tried to force his way out of the Jets in pre-season, so was never re-signing with Jets.

He most likely has an out in this deal, allowing him take up an overseas offer for a set fee. Much like the same Agent did for Cammy Devlin.

Ben Warland, Austin Ludwik, Antonee Burke-Gilroy, Michael Ruhs, Ben Halloran, Chris Long, Quinn MacNicol and Jacob Brazete.

Newcastle defender Mark Natta has told his teammates that he’s leaving the Jets to join Italian second division club Cesena.

Despite being linked with a move to Norwegian top-flight outfit Bodo/Glimt, Natta – who has Italian heritage – is understood to instead be heading to Serie B to play for the “Cavallucci Marini”, who are coached by former England international Ashley Cole.

Defender Nathan Paull is leaving Central Coast Mariners to join Macarthur FC.
