The fans favourite is returning home after agreeing to a 2 year deal for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 Hyundai A-League seasons.

Brosque is a good signing for Sydney. One of the first good signings they've made lately.

Ibini was a good signing. Their attack should be good next season. It seems like their squad is poorly balanced.

Anyone know what the rules around multiple guest stints in a season for one club are?

Patrick said they can sign him as their marquee. 

Does that mean their marquee is used for the season, or can they sign someone else once he leaves for NY?

Big name players have never automatically equalled success; especially in the A-League. Considering they're just 10 game guest stints, I wouldn't be too worried.

I can't see this level of recruitment happening in future seasons. It is mainly because NYCFC are recruiting big names and have nowhere for them to play for 6 months, so are using Melbourne City to bridge the seasons. That won't happen again.

Break someone's leg, bring Lampard in as an injury signing.

Either way we all know that there's no way that the FFA wouldn't allow it to go through.

Still good we get to play them at home in the first ten games.

Valeo, in this case Lampard and Villa have been playing in top performing teams in arguably the top two leagues in the world. 

Doesn't make a difference ; sure, they might do well for 10 games, but then what happens after that? Whole team gets disrupted for the rest of the season.

Neither will be around for the A-League finals, no Toilet Seat for them!

I feel like clubs, players and some supporters value winning the regular season more than the toilet seat, with winning the finals being something of a bonus if you can do it. 

I've always seen the finals as kind of an end of season cup that you have to qualify for like the champions league. Plus it gives you something to play and cheer for once you're out of the league title race.

Depends on which one you win. If we win the toilet seat then of course that's the most important thing, same if we win the regular season.
