Nigeria international Emmanuel Emenike has declared himself the answer to the woes of goal-shy A-League clubs, offering his services on a performance-based deal should he come to Australia during the January transfer window.

Absolute d*ck of a player but I'd take him in a flash. The hunger, the desire to win, the resilience - Rudan would cream his pants if we signed him (and frankly so would I)!!!

Melbourne City want to cancel the loan deal of midfielder Anthony Caceres to free up squad space for the signing of current injury replacement Kearyn Baccus.

The Covert Agent can reveal the 26-year-old, who is on loan from Manchester City, is the easiest player to move on in order to snare Baccus on a permanent deal, according to sources at the club.

However the former Central Coast man would have to agree to a termination of his loan contract for City to get their wish.

Baccus has become a favourite of coach Warren Joyce since he joined the club as an injury replacement for Scottish attacker Michael O'Halloran.

With O'Halloran finally returning from a hamstring complaint last weekend, Baccus' deal at City would have expired but the club managed to switch him to a injury replacement for French winger Florin Berenguer.

If a severance of Caceres' deal cannot be arranged, City would be forced to look at off loading another player of similar wage, or loan out a few of their youngsters to free up salary space.

Strange to see a player has to agree to terminate a loan, it is almost like the loan is a cap rort or something ....

Sydney fans are thinking Caceres will end up with them in January, not sure why they would want him but Sydney like collecting ex CCM players

One of the guys on the WSW podcast reckons City are chasing Baccus Jnr from them also, with him to join in the January window also.

absolute shambles from CCM if this turns out to be true. Rowles has been one of the few positives in their so far very bleak season. Would hate to be a mariners fan currently

My guess would be Sydney on loan, as an IR for Buhagiar

[Edit: hmm, maybe not as an IR then?]

Juric would be just what Adelaide need, but reading another article today, his dad is saying it's "pretty unlikely" he's gonna come back to the A-League at this point. Probably gonna end up at another European club.

Europe the priority as Juric prepares to reject A-League offer

Last thing Adelaide needs is another injury prone striker, despite him being rather good.

"Kwame Yeboah approached us with the desire to terminate the contract. We agreed to that" says Michael Schwetje, Managing Director of Fortuna Köln.

Must be a decent offer...#ALeague https://t.co/gEeArSp0bF

One of these guys that should a glimpse of talent when he broke thru and left midseason of that same year. He should be a good signing but who really knows, he was playing at the same level as Rogerson is (tho he was playing, unlike Logan)

So they're trying to score more goals than they let in?

Adelaide United’s Taylor Regan is tipped to walk away from the Reds during this current FIFA transfer window after attracting interest from Malaysian club Perak TBG.

City to swap Bruno for Keogh?

Also

City’s Scottish winger Michael O’Halloran has also been released from his contract due to homesickness – a hamstring injury resigned the ex-Rangers man made just one A-League appearance, as a late sub in the recent Melbourne derby – opening up another spot for attacking reinforcements.

I had expected them to chase Margush tbh, he is the most promising back up Keeper in the league imo.
