I suppose after WU's signings didn't bring them as far up the ladder at this point in the season as some people had probably expected isn't to helpful the Macarthur when they approach a player.

given how well this season has gone I wouldn't have thought any of our starting players would be looking to move to another a-league club (unless Sydney came knocking). Maybe some of our bench players if they were offered a starting position/money.

We've resigned most of the starting team I thought. Devere, Hooper, and Steinmen are the highest profile players who are yet to re-sign.

Serbian-based defender Aleksandar Jovanovic, Brisbane Roar right-back Jake McGing and ex-Central Coast Mariners midfielder Liam Rose are all likely to be saddling up with the Macarthur Bulls in their debut A-League season.

The competition new boys, who have also been linked with fringe Socceroos keeper Adam Federici and current Central Coast gloveman Mark Birighitti, have been forced to delay confirming their roster due to the financial and scheduling nightmare unleashed by COVID-19.

SST reporting Donachie to the Jets on a 3 year deal. Wonder if it's as a replacement for NTS or Boogaard?

Victory are a right mess atm, no manager for this season or the next & iirc only Rojas/Kruse/Broxham and some scholarship players with contracts for next season.

Good player but terrible captain for the Victory. When the going got tough rather than motivating the troops he just talked about how much better he was than everyone else and how he wanted to go home.

Definitely not the right attitude for a captain, or any player on the team but I think it is fair to say he was definitely the best player on that team.

And take this one with a grain of salt cuz I dunno the account's reputation and Piscopo signed a 3 year deal with us ....

The Nix said openly at the time when signing Piscopo (and paying his Italian club a transfer fee), that if they could in future onsell him for a nice 'profit', they would be open to that.

So who knows, if Victory offer a tidy sum???????

Talay certainly knows alot of the young Aussie talent around. So you'd trust him to pluck out a possible cheap replacement from somewhere. You have likes of Clayton Lewis floating around, who would be pretty keen to get a Nix gig. Offer Eli Just some first team football.

zero dollars?

Isn't that the only transfer fee from a fellow a league club?

Isn't that about how much we got when Kosta went to MV a few years back still with a year on his contract.

A league really do need to bring in transfer fees.

No transfer fees between clubs but players could always offer to buy their way out of contracts (like WeeMac eventually did with CCM)

so if he goes to victory we are down a 100 grand transfer fee and one year of his paid salary

And get two years salary?

Hardly worth it when you are giving a player to your competition, weakening yourself and strengthening them

Never going to happen

Domey would neve let him off his contract without it being financially worth it for us. Say he still has 2 years on his contract and he's on 150k per annum. If he buys his way out we'd still be +200k
