Lia & Marrone starting at CB for Adelaide. That seems a rather brave move by Kurz...

Be interesting this one. Watching the Reds recently it seems like they might've peaked and now be in a bit of a decline.

Team sheets were a red herring, Isaias at CB instead of Lia.

Frankly having Lia back there makes more sense. Isaias is wasted at CB.

Reza finally finishes one of his chances, 1-0

Bugger, that would've about killed it off.

1-0 at half time, neither teams looking all that threatening in attack.

Eighty minutes gone, and the stats seem to show a far more even game than I expected.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Sydney tend to sit back on a lead in second halves and let the other side come back into it. Adelaide just lack the ability to take advantage of it.

Devlin makes it 2-0 in injury time and the fence collapses under the weight of fans celebrating

They are really hamstrung by the lack of even a half decent striker. Thomassen looks like a washout. Otherwise the Reds are a really solid team and they put a lot of pressure on Sydney in the 2nd half.

Good for us though that their goal diff has been damaged a bit.

HT MV v Jets, Katroumbas smashes in from close range to give the Jets a 1-0 lead.

C'mon Victory, you can do it! Do not let us down.

Jets have played this one smart so far. Wouldn't surprise me if they nab a second.

God, Brosque got a penalty for less contact than that.

Doesn't look like it's going to be MV's night.

Permalink Permalink

Well done Jets. Had some luck but defended really well. Did what we failed to do three times against MV and hung on to a lead.

Petratos finally bags one too, and an absolute cracker.

not sure if that helps or hurts us.....must win vs CCM!

City v Glory, another important one from our point of view. Stinking hot 35 degrees at kick off.

C'mon the Glory

What are the City news, rumors the pundits mentioned?

Perfect cross for J-Mac to finish, City up 1-0

Have been the better side. I reckon they will win this.

That could be the goal that turns their season around. Been thinking that if they manage to bust out of this slump they've got the talent in that squad to leave us and Adelaide in their dust.

Penalty for City, J-Mac makes it 2-0

Glory not at the races today, City have been all over them and deserves the 2 goal lead.

I do feel a bit sorry for City. That led for so long.

Been a lot of howlers from him last few seasons. I feel a bit sorry for him there but happy Perth pulled that one out of the fire because they hardly looked likely most of the game.

Paid the price for Joyce's negative tactics. You can't sit back that long against a side of Glory's quality.
