Yeh I think that’s the point about Rudan- he did well at a well run club- with a core of good fans, a stadium, a part of a cities culture, good owners and a good academy. He could do his job because of that.

I think he stole us a year, we could have found a similar or even better coach. For me he's a lying narcissist stalker.

So Nix's first real 'rivalry', comes to it's inevitable short term end.
Pantomime villain, Burgess & likely Kurto all gone. Dura retired.

Need an Auckland A League club, for anything long lasting.
If the rumours are true and Kevin Muscod is the new Snakes' coach, talk about going from bad to worse

I can't see how anyone can't think Muscat is a very good coach at this level.

Victory’s last four seasons have been: GF winner; semifinals; second to last; last. I don’t think it’s a coincidence the drop off after he left.

I don't think anyone would deny he's good at this level.
It's just that he's a rotten bastard.

TBF even Victory fans say that GF win in 17/18 papered over some big cracks in their team. And they lost that semi final 6-1 too.

One person that a lot of Nix fans dislike more than Rudan - Muscod.

I say that forever more, the official title of the Western United head coach should be Cobra Commander.

Is it just me that finds it odd that they are signing players before signing a coach to coach them?

New gaffer may not be a fan of these potential players at all, but then I'm sure Cobra Commander has already landed the job, just going through the stand recruitment BS I guess, so maybe he's already given the thumbs up.

Someone said he’s going to Yokohama, visa pending?

Does he deserve another crack though? He's a legend and everyone likes him but apart from one decent year with Roar there have been some pretty dismal seasons in there.

Oh boy this is blowing up. From what I've read elsewhere (https://southmelbournefc.blogspot.com/2021/09/the-ironing-is-delicious-making-hay.html#comment-form), South Melbourne FC have a football exclusion clause which effectively allows them to reject any other football activity at the ground (apart from national team games) as long as they provide a good business case or whatever. Used it against Heart years ago.

Heard South’s have been overuled by the APL and Western will play there. Like the south supporters aren’t going to attend the games and cause some fun.

On The Move Again
https://www.ftbl.com.au/news/a-leagues-western-united-on-the-move-again-our-club-has-grown-enormously-571387

But they may have found the shovel.
Western United told FTBL that the move and tenancy partnership with Essendon is part of a two year deal with an option for a third.  The club is in the process of building their own grounds with construction on their Wyndham City stadium starting this month.

fair enough, deserve patience and credit for getting them a championship early on in their history, just having a bad season this season though. I am sure they will bounce back

They said that the PFA had been informed that last months wages were paid late.

Hopefully it's just a case of multiple payments with all their construction, etc, coming due at the same time, causing a cash crunch, rather than something more serious.

Apparently the delay in pay was because it took longer than expected for funds to clear and was less than 24 hours.

The CEO has recommitted to their long term vision and are hoping to play home games out of their training facility by the end of the season, they've purchased 2,500 temporary seats.
