It's a bit like flying. You've got to be not quite aware of what you're doing.

4-2 win, looked a bit dodgy for a while my goals to all my big prospects got me the win, in a log jam from second to about tenth, anything can happen at this point.

03 Apr 20:26

2-0 win last night put me 3rd on goal difference, can't see anyone catching the leader though, 16 games unbeaten.

Revenge is sweet! After losing 8-2 to Battle Hill last season, I beat them 1-0 last night, a goal to my latest signing in the 30th minute was enough!

04 Apr 19:55

Snuck a 90th minute winner and stormed into 5th... still NFI.

E + R + O

05 Apr 17:13

Well that was great, my early tactics held them out and then in the 81st and 91st minutes I got a pair of goals to finish the game, almost out of the relegation zone again.

07 Apr 17:23

And a win over the Trains sees AD Fafe make the move back out of the relegation zone, thank you everyone for the advice, a top Keeper, and a slight improvement in my midfield and my team are completely different.

We play tonight which should be interesting. I'm trying a new formation too so could all go very wrong for me!

10 Apr 09:27

5-1 win, Seghers with 3, Martinez with 2, the race for the club's goalscoring record continues!

10 Apr 19:07

1-0 win for me, keeps me in the top 4.

My team has turned into a bunch of thugs...Got another red card

1 all draw. So not much gloating to be had for either of us sadly.

No gloating needed... I'm happy whenever I don't lose :-)

snuck home a 4-2 win in front of 25k faithful Locolites. That means over 500 empty seats though ....Parking and toilets are both level 6 for a 30,500 seater, should be plenty.

Haven't had the best start to the season, so maybe attendance will pick up after this win?

Reserves got tonked 1-3, kinda inevitable with a 2-man backline!

10 Apr 23:57

I regularly pack out my 19k seater stadium, only 5 empty seats last night, aiming to get to 20k by season end, then 30k by end of next season - adding seating so bloody expensive though, $1million per 100 seats, depending on your merchandising and food stalls it takes ages to get the money back on the investment.

13 Apr 01:45

1-0 win, looking to make it four straight wins next game up

14 Apr 04:53

My form is annoyingly inconsistent at the moment, for all my teams (I have 3...)

Beating top of the league sides (particularly impressive in nz premier league), then losing or drawing to bottom of the table sides.

Injuries also starting to take their toll for my nz side, I have a DMC playing DC tonight, he has the skills for it and high adaptability though so hoping he'll do a good enough job.

Pretty happy for Fafe to score another low-scoring 1-0 victory last night, another step in the right direction.

15 Apr 00:42

oof! hammered 4-1 by the grudge

15 Apr 04:34

Well at 2-0 down at halftime and 2-1 down after 75 minutes I thought I was gone but two goals in three minutes rescued me a miraculous 3-2 win  to keep me in fourth, very tight race here for the fourth spot.

Hammered 6 - 3 by the Nutters... not a good night.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

17 Apr 21:36

A solid 3-0 home win and into 5th though too big a gap to the Top Four I think... it's just like the EPL (but different).

E + R + O

19 Apr 08:46

Well went down 1-0, but pulled it back with a goal to Eaton, and then our young striker, Innes, scored in the 89th minute, now trying to hold on through injury time.

21 Apr 02:52

Sitting in 4th place currently 11 points behind 3rd

21 Apr 20:05

Well played Ardrigh - snapped my ?? match unbeaten streak... back down to 6th now - goodbye promotion!!!

E + R + O

21 Apr 21:57

Probably a good thing though Surge, I'm right in amongst the playoff push but my side would have no chance if I went up a level and I'd go straight back down, another season to develop my 4 star players should do a world of good, and make me more competitive (Not sure if you are in the same boat).

21 Apr 23:12

looks like I'll be dropping down next season at this rate :/

Should do well to bounce back up though.  Facilities are on the up, Reserves team up and running, just need more bums on seats (about 5000 spare at the 30,500 seater stadium)

21 Apr 23:28

You're dead right - I've kept most of my 1st season's squad and trying to build a wee war-chest to bring in a couple of 4 stars for next season... also need to build my stadium - home games are selling out but need more seats for more bums!

E + R + O

24 Apr 22:14

24 shots to 3 but a good keeper means it was only a 4-0 win, keeps me in fourth but next I have a team who has won every game this season and has a crazy-high goal difference, so I'll be back into the pack for promotion after what will be a heavy loss.

24 Apr 22:35

6-0 win keeps me in 4th, although my starting keeper got injured and is out for 5 games. just as well I have a decent young backup.

Queenslander 3x a year.

26 Apr 08:51

I just cannot believe it, lost 1-0 whilst dominating the entire match. 64% possession, 21 shots to 5, 11 on target to 3, absolute disgrace!

Queenslander 3x a year.

26 Apr 19:09

Well I had a horrid 0-0 draw, my defense is seriously cracking at the moment, but unlike last season we are struggling to score goals. This makes it hard to win games.

28 Apr 00:39

Got nothing to do for a while, I think it's time for a Yellow Fever team update, who's going up and who's going down

28 Apr 01:07 · edited 28 Apr 01:07 · History

Yeah I didn't have time to do one at the halfway stage this time round. There will be some really interesting ones this season too! Are you doing one? Look forward to to seeing it

Premier League:

Tegal

Doing quite well for a promoted side, sitting 12th, but only four points clear of automatic relegation - the Prem is a tough place to be. Askew doing well like always, 11 goals, while the new keeper has helped out a lot.

Aotearoa Championship:

Sky Valley

Sitting one point outside the automatic relegation zone, with 11th to 15th having three points separating them. Omar Lbama's 20 goals have helped out a lot.

Thunderthighs United

Part of an incredible four way tie at the top of 2.1 on 60 points, TTU is bound to make the playoffs, but a direct return to the Prem might be too much to ask with rumoured player sales about to occur.

Sanchez AFC

Three points clear of automatic relegation, should avoid it but might be thrown into the playoff mixer

Paraparaumu Disjointed

Doing superbly, sitting in ninth, the drama of the playoffs means that a slight slip could see a fall into the relegation playoffs, which half the bloody league has to face. Seven points clear at this stage, largely thanks to Hasan Akpinar and critical keeper Enrique Revilla

Kiwi League 1:

Khandallah Lokomotiv

Just one point outside the promotion playoffs, 21 goals to Soren Kofoed plus a new 4.5 star youth pull gives big promise.

Los Halcones Locos FC

Poor LHL are sitting in 17th, unlikely to get relegated because of a heap of bots but a lack of goalscoring has been a worry for them this season. The new B team should mean better results next season.

AD Fafe

Sitting in 13th, but only four points ahead of LHL in 17th (both being in 3.1). Again, should be some better results next season after some youth players improve.

Earthquake City

Have only conceded 11 goals all season (11!!!), plus 21 goals from the superbly named Chris Wood, yet inexplicably only sit sixth on their table. Still a good chance for promotion.

Racing Club North Shore

Comfortably in 12th, no real likelihood of going being in the red while too far off the main playoff contenders.

Racing Fat Cockneys

The third team to be unfortunate enough to be in 3.2, RFC are conceding less than a goal a game yet are only in seventh. Like Earthquake City, still in the hunt for promotion.

Tawa AFC

Another team in the mid-table mixer, a good run could end up in a promotion playoff spot. Otherwise, the comprehensive Yellow Fever Div Four win will have to suffice.

Elite FC

Seventh in a league stacked full of good B teams, but only eight points clear of 15th in a very tight race, so can't drop too many points. Apparently just gave up a 4.5 star player to DFC.

Surge Thunder FC

Nine points ahead of Elite FC in sixth place, Surge is far and away out-doing his YF League performances. Still an outside shot at the playoffs, despite confessing he doesn't know how he's doing this. Whatever it is, it's magic.

Highlands FC

13th place, only seven points behind Elite FC in 7th. Everything up for grabs late in the season.

Battle Hill FC

Fifth in the fierce 3.9 on 46 points. 2 points off fourth, 6 points off second, so a playoff place is again in reach. George Bail has 21 goals and 13 assists, but is now out for five games, which could be vital in their hopes.

Waikato Whippingboys

Sixth in the fierce 3.9 on 46 points. I could easily finish in fourth (big game tonight) or as low as ninth, thanks to a great season from Yves Seghers. Probably will end sixth or seventh and push hard for promotion next year with my super young squad.

Tawa FC

Fifth on 50 points, could very easily make the playoffs with second place having only 54 points. Conceding only 27 goals in 26 games has been the main reason for their success, as has club hero Michael Sanders.

Peow FC

After suffering relegation last year, Peow could very easily go back up through the playoffs, currently sitting in fourth. They have a strong Div 3 defence, but it will have to step up if they want to get up and stay up in Div 2.

Wellington Phoenix FC

Miles away from the top 2 in 3.12, but only five points behind third. Could make the playoffs once again, thanks to a bot behind ahead of them.

So that's how we're all tracking, looks like there could be some more teams in the Aotearoa Championship than last year!

28 Apr 02:18 · edited 28 Apr 02:18 · History

Brilliant. Looks like we all have something to play for. A lot hovering around promotion playoffs, but none really high enough to look like winning the league? Except maybe TTU if he doesn't have a fire sale.

Might be a lot of nervous YFTMer's around playoff times, I'm looking forward to the angst

28 Apr 08:00

Wow great breakdown of the teams!

My lot are currently 1-0 up against Paengaroa FF with 6 shots to 4, and both teams firing 2 on target.

Reduced my Stadium by 500 seats, and have close to 24K folks looking in at the 30K stadium.

With the Fast Food Place upgrading to level 10, Merch Stand upgrading to level 9, Merch Store upg'ing to lev 10, Restaurant upgrading to level 9, and Saussy stand upg'ing to L10 I'm expecting a healthy payout from this game.

Reserves are 0-1 down in front of 7K peeps.

I'll need $45m to get the parking and loos to Level 7... $34m in the bank now, let's hope the spectators are hungry and keen on some LHL FC branded thingamajigs!

28 Apr 10:07

yeah well done n-bomb - with my 5-1 win tonight I claimed 5th back, 1 point off 4th and 5 off third.I'm assuming the 'bot' team is L.F.C - they have been the bane of my league this year. Currently my hope is to place better than them - ie third.
