Had a 1-1 draw against solid opposition after a couple of shockers against average teams. Pretty much stacked the team with 3 CBs, 2 DM, which seemed to stem the flow of goals against. Heading stats for my CB's aren't very good either so I get done by crosses and set pieces which is pretty annoying. Next on the list is to splash out on a good keeper and a CB with good heading and strength. Enjoying this game so far, 3 weeks in and lots of time browsing transfers!!! NZ 1.13 edit: the team I got assigned with started in the relegation zone (is that standard with all new players?)

You basically take over a bot team. So it's just bad luck on your part really! Though they are more likely to be toward the bottom.

it's probably not so bad to get relegated early on, you than are more likely to get an easy run back into the current division.

Well you can't get relegated, as there aren't enough active teams, so there should be no worries!

ive gone for the upgrade my stadium aproach this season. try and get me making some more money before i start buying players to push for promotion in 2 seasons or so

Huge 1 - 4 win for the Trains away at hamilton Tiger Cats. in 14 matches now Tiger Cats have won 6 and The Trains have won 8. No draws ever between the two sides.

Toger Cats are 4th, The Trains are in their traditional slot of 5th. Again.

Huge 1 - 0 win for The Trains against MC United. That's back to back wins against top 4 teams and the gap to 4th place is now 4 points... it was going to be 3 points but Hamilton Tiger Cats snatched an injury time equaliser against lowly R.AKL Academy to draw 2-2 after AKL Academy had lead twice... dammit.

I've had a numb er of those games, mid season I lost plenty to teams I should have beaten - didn't help losing 3 of my stars to injury. Beating up on the trains 'b' team tonight makes me feel a little better though. 6-1

The Trains triumph 0 - 1,and Soren has a very uncharacteristic 4 minutes of Pavlovich just before half time, gets sent off, and STILL wins man of the match! Go figure. Happy with the three points though.

Also, I don't really know where to post this...But Harry Havercroft (My left back) just got his 5th star. Meaning I have 2 of them in my lineup now - Him and Askew up front.

It seems the change in formation and also not mucking around with the team mentality and style has helped me earned a couple of away wins whilst also keeping clean sheets! A couple more wins and I'll be out of the relegation zone.

continuing my inconsistent form....Beat BHB bombers 2-0 tonight, theyre 6 points clear at the top of the premiership. Stacked up agaisnt him in possession and shots too, so it was a deserved victory.

4-1 win, my newly formed B team have actually scored two goals in two games as well, led against some bot team for 40 minutes despite not having a single player better than 2.5 stars.

Big 4-1 win, two goals to Rood and Melddahl (who now has 41 goals in 42 games for the Whips) leaves the table like this:

Sky Valley and the Fafe are fighting it out for the playoff spot. The Trains however are fighting it out for the league title! We've closed from 12 points adrift to within 3 of the leaders, and MC United were down 1 - 0 for the first half hour...

I can't see myself making the playoffs, my challenge is to stay up near the top, keep my number of goals conceded down, and get over 50 goals scored :)

I'm well out of playoff contention this year, I think moving to 3 at the back with a new keeper has hurt me big time. Gonna miss on my sponsor goals too.

Vital 3-1 win last night to put me on top of the logjam in fourth, playing the 7th placed team next so that'll be huge.

Peter Melddahl scored twice, he is now the top goalscorer in Whips history with 44 in just 46 games.
