I'm playing the top team at home next... wonder if I should plunder some funds into more seats too - though I'll likely get pantsed.

What was your attendance at previous home games? Not much point if you aren't selling out the stands...

12 Dec 21:09

Owch, dropped from 2nd to 5th with that 6-2 drubbing from AD Fafe, hope to pick up the points against the Aramoana Reserves

12 Dec 21:13

Late 1-0 win for me, I really can't score many goals to save myself, gotta keep beating the bad teams as some teams are way too good for this division, now in 11th.

12 Dec 23:16

I think it was 9996 (or similar) outta ten. Just thought the top team coming... etc, etc...

Got pumped 1-5 by Otorohanga. Ouch.

I took down what looks like a half-decent squad 2-0 last night, so I was happy, but next up I have Otorohonga, so I have changed to a defensive line-up and pattern, with no striker and stack the midfield :)

16 Dec 23:32

managed a 6-1 win v Aramoana reserves at home to make up for the horror at Parque Municipal dos Desportos (6-2 loss to AD Fafe)

then a 2-1 loss away to potential fools.

2 home games coming up, Racing Fat Cockneys in the friendly league then KCU on Wednesday.

Need some wins to get back into the playoff spots

16 Dec 23:45

Good luck versus the Fat Cocks. They're a filthy bunch...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Good Luck michaelme, though you cannot have my (AD Fafe) playoff spot, a 2-1 victory last night shows that 6 goals was just an outlier, other results 1-1 (A), 1-0 (H), 2-1 (A), 6-2 (H), 2-3 (A), 2-1 (H). So generally my games will be tight, and we won't score too many goals :P

Gore C up next, currently 14th.

17 Dec 00:30

At least you manage to score goals, I've now scored 3 in six games, completely dominated my match last night only to concede a late goal *sighs*. Might have to test more tactics in the Fever league before my game against Nelson United's stacked B team.

17 Dec 04:41 · edited 17 Dec 04:41 · History

Am in Aotearoa Championship (Div 2.3). My second attempt up here, after getting relegated straight down last time.

Lost first two matches, but have won my last 4 to get up to 6th place! Stoked.

19 Dec 09:43

sitting top of 3.12 at the moment unbeaten after 6 games, Tonights game is prooving to be harder than anticipated, 87 mins gone and I'm up 4-3 against a 'B' team. At least my reserve guys are dominating their game.

Queenslander 3x a year.

19 Dec 09:51

2 more goals for my newest addition in the last 5 minutes gave me a 6-3 win. 4 goals for my OM who I picked up for $44m. too lazy to post picture, but heres his link - http://trophymanager.com/players/57048995#/page/history/

Pretty happy there, conceded early and thought it was a bad sign, but ended up with a 4-1 victory to stay 3rd in the league.

19 Dec 20:37

Snore draw 0-0 against KCU

Just the one point means we've dropped to 6th 2 points behind the playoff spots, and also looks like we've lost 100 or so plastic fans.

Still a sold out home game so should be good to fill the coffers.

The stats looked good but just couldn't get past the keeper.

Good possession, plenty of shots with majority on target, but nothing in the back of the net.

19/12/12 LHLFC 0-0 KCU

6th v 7th away at WireLess FC on Friday, then The Trains at Home on Sunday.

C'mon you Falcons!

Maybe you should tell the team they need to play a more attacking style!

yeah tried that, went from "Normal/Balanced" to slightly attacking .  Went 'Very Attacking' with 2 strikers up front against Aramoana Reserves and got a 6-1 win, but might leave the midfield and backline a tad exposed against WireLess (no disrespect to Aramoana Reserves)

You're so cruel Patrick. So very cruel! Is it really fair to give the newer guys here advice from the head of the Swamp Monkeys? The guys who have been here from the start have the history, but they might not know what a filthy, immoral, nupty you are...

19 Dec 21:34

Fuck - another 2-0 pantsing yet I'm dominating posession and shots on target... guess I need a new striker?

Before you panic buy, how good was Rewa's goal keeper? You might have just come up against a stellar performance by their keeper. Or your strikers could be runny poos too...

19 Dec 23:05

Yeah if you were dominating Shots, but not on target I's be worried about your striker, but if you are getting the shots on target, it might be their keeper...

What is your main strikers scoring rate? I have Eaton with 6 goals in 7 games & Vicelich with 2 goals in 3 games (Moved back to 2 strikers), my Left wing also has 4 goals...

19 Dec 23:15

Good points, thanks guys... I'm probably better to look at my own keepers :-)

20 Dec 00:02

Bloody hell, I can't score to save myself, I came up against a 1.5 star keeper last night, still nothing. At least you can't get relegated....

I have a sneaking suspicion that they are going to put League 2 back in after this season, the table shows 4 relegation spots + 4 playoff spots, would guess that would see 6 teams relegated from each of the 19 leagues and put 114 teams in a League 2 structure?

20 Dec 00:06

It's possible, relegation wouldn't be the worst thing for my team I guess, at least I could win some games. Might focus on the Fever league instead!

20 Dec 00:06

They'll only put it back in if enough new players register to completely fill up League 1. Considering the large increase in the number of teams in League 1, i can't see this happening anytime soon.

So does it show relegation spots even if there is no relegation?

20 Dec 00:11

It depends how many teams end up IA. It's possible league 2 will be created during the season, but then disappear in the season update as IA and banned teams are removed.

Last season they showed relegation spots in the bottom divisions when there was never any real chance people would actually get relegated. They always show. As said, it will just depend on how many teams there are as to whether there'll be a division below to go down to.

21 Dec 09:04

1-0 down at half time , here's hoping Los Halcones can turn it around.

Looks like an uphill battle on paper

21 Dec 10:13 · edited 21 Dec 10:15 · History

3-0 at full time :/ Their goalkeeper was immense.

Came back strong in the second half, but wasn't enough.

On a positive note, no cards or injuries.   On a not-so-positive note, dropped from 6th to 8th.  Have to be 9th or better to cash in on sponsorship.

Might need to look at upgrading the squad at this rate

21 Dec 17:31

That looks like my result, got killed early and down 2-0, played better in the second half, but they managed to get another as we lost 3-0.

21 Dec 21:28

3 goals in 8 games for me, Gareth's asking for total football now

22 Dec 22:01

Unbelievably I'm up to third place. My 6 game winning streak is likely to end tonight though as I'm playing a good team... Though I am somehow 5 points ahead of them in the league so who knows !

23 Dec 01:02

Managed  an upset win against a better side in my last match but next I've got an even better team - Tegal!

GGGGGRRRRRRIVALS!!!

Really looking forward to getting this rivalry started again! Though it was more my Aussie side that had some fun games against you,so this will be interesting.

Sky Valley's ultras are sharpening their switchblades as we speak. There's no bouncy castles or kiddie's mascots at our stadium :P

But how will my substitutes warm up, without a bouncy castle?!
