You got to hope that the Italians & Danes are awake when the auction enters the final 10 mins. Then you might see a massive bidding war.
Transfers
That's what I am hoping.
Damn Italian logged off without bidding... but there's 4 hours left so he may be going to come back later...
It will be just before 11am Central European Time when it closes.
There's only one interested club online with 1 hour 20 mins to go... and that's Waikato Whips!
Bid man!
Game on... with half an hour to go the bid was at 56 Million...
Expiry: <25m
Current bid is 88,414,554 by Stars Of Liverpool.
Out of my price range now.
Out of my price range now.
I have to say I am relatively pleased about that...
Expiry: <20m
Current bid is 121,880,446 by BADAJOZ.
Meanwhile The Trains are 4 - 1 up, and The Steam Engines are even winning 2 - 1 as well!
Morale is high at Homebush Road.
Sold for 121,880,446, unfortunately no last minute biddign war to take him up into the seriously stupid zone...
Bugger, only a couple of mil above what I could have afforded.
Some of the ol' guard at the Elite on the way out but still very capable for squads looking for some experience to bring into the mix.
Ian Duncan 3* D C
John Stewart 3.5* DM/M C
And a couple of younger lads on the chopping block:
George Globenko - Import - 20 y/o MC 3.5* pot, currently 2*
Giovanni Goss - 23 y/o DM C,. 3.5 * pot, currently 2.5 * and 14.3 ROT
Brian Vagg - 20 y/o OM L, 3* Pot, currently 2* - only 350K...
Also mostly open to offers on players that aren't in my starting line-ups (probably not those listed as not for sale tho) so feel free to message if you like the look of someone. Happy to provide scout reports too.
A bit flush with cash for once so looking to be pretty active in the transfer market in coming weeks so happy to clear names off the squad list especially to YF lads.
Whips expected to have about $300mil to spend next season and already making moves (Sick of finishing 2nd and likely getting knocked out in the playoffs).
In already is Adrian Zavoda, while Whips stalwarts Mick Barratia and Jesus Fuentes are set to be sold as the defence is upgraded. A change at keeper may be in the making as well, while a 3 star ML/MR is on the shopping list.
Also available for interested parties is talented youngster Frank Hogan after a Kiwi side started the bidding at $20million
Additionally, stud prospect Ivan Hyde has played his last game for the reserves, he will now make the full-time step up to the first team.
Putting one of my best players over the years up for sale. Want to get something for him while I can, and I already have a starter in that position. Leaves me weak in back up unfortunately, but oh well.
Just had a look, the last time I bought a player with my NZ team was 6 seasons ago in season 32.

Shocker. A mix of slacking/finances?
I've only averaged about 2-4 a season of late, much less than before, but have a whole boatload of cash sitting there for when I want to splurge it
Slacking and also losing millions each week - was basically living off sponsorship money and depending on youth to sell or develop into first teamers. It was a sound strategy but hard work, previous to that I also supplemented money by picking up youngsters cheap and either flicking them off for more or keeping them for the first team.
Of course that all crumbled when I stopped paying attention for a few seasons, and I haven't had enough money to prop up the funds through transfers - and certainly not enough to buy any players of my own!
So have changed strategy to consolidate and hopefully build the funds again. Hoping Havercroft can get me a bit of cash to help me along the way. Am resigned to relegation this season, I don't have the squad depth any more.
Nicholas Hall is up for sale - 4 star potential, blooming.
Just bought my first player for my NZ team in 6 seasons after the sale of Havercroft! (Who sold for 115mill)
Nicholas Hall is up for sale - 4 star potential, blooming.
How much did you have him up for? I'm asking because my investment in youth development is beginning to bring some results and have pulled a couple of similar players of late. Due to the scarcity of good NZ players I have found that they command a premium on the transfer market.
I put him up for a starter of approx $600k.
He went for $35.8 million.
Some Little Trains graduates that are up for sale:
Liam Austin - 18 yrs 4 months, 195 cm, 86 kg MC 4 star potential, SI 442, current bid 0, minimum next bid $250,600
Lucas Turner - 21 years 6 months, 177cm, 77 kg, 3 star potential, SI 2056, current bid 0, minimum next bid $200,000
Chuck Hill - 23 years 2 months, 192cm, 92 kg, 3 star potential, SI 2000, current bid 0, minimum next bid $782,000
And 3 other dregs:
any way to take people off the list, was deciding if i should sell and then changed my mind. if not too bad
Have two Kiwi MC's going if anyone is interested:
Tom Lyon is really solid, will have another year of top Div 3 production or quality Div 2 efforts, will go cheap, high routine.
Norbert Armstrong is a quality depth MC, handy guy to bring off the bench in League One, doesn't have any holes in his game.
Also have a DL who will soon be 3 stars avaialble if anyone needs some depth
David Smeltz, who won the U21 golden boot award for the league the Steam Engines were playing in last season (24 goals in 34 matches) is up for sale.

:o)
Get a team Jeff Vader. The YF Freidnly league is awesome.
and just the right amount of shambolic for it to be a YF league.
I bet you Jeff Vader won't get a team.
In fact, if he does, I will not post on the forums for 3 months, but if he doesn't he should crawl back under his rock for a month...
[Disclaimer to Blew2: This is another attempted tongue in cheek humourous reference to the famous JV vs. Nightz wanna bet meme, and does not neccessarily indicate my position on the matter...]

Can't sell until he's 18 though (only rated 3 stars).
newest arrival at the nix is a right back Jimmy Moir, only 20 so I'm very excited about his prospects. My back line now has noone over 24 in it, average of my first squad is 25
Grabbed a new keeper to replace my retiring one for the next 3 seasons or so - Caleb Hall. Selling Damien Armit if anyone wants him, handy player.
Also for sale - Whips academy producued Rick Spratt. Very good all-around player with high adaptability
Realised that having a lvl8 training facility at my level is not a great idea. Need to cut wage bill sooooo... $1 res sale:
