that'd be the difference between *viewing* a page and actually *reading* it

and between 'n' beers and 'n -2' beers

Not FMG!! Although another road trip would be good if it was close enough. Not too keen on the Palmy venue again.

Actually just realised im at Foo Fighters the night before, so Auckland could work for me!

I'm gonna go out on the limb and say it won't be Palmy.

No I was aware of that- just need to emphasize my lack of love for that venue.

Napier could be a nice trip

MEDIA RELEASE

Embargoed till 11.30am

PHOENIX ROAR BACK INTO DUNEDIN

Wellington Phoenix coach Ricki Herbert is delighted Dunedin has been given the green light to stage the week 10 regional round Hyundai A-League game against champions Brisbane Roar on Wednesday December 14 at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Dunedin getting this game against competition from Australian venues is a reward for the incredible support we received on our first visit to

the city earlier this year, Herbert said.

It was humbling to have 15,000 fans turning out to support us and we are looking forward to playing in such a great atmosphere again, hopefully with a reversal of the August result.

The game is another coup for the Stadium and the fans according to David Davies, CEO of Forsyth Barr Stadium.

We welcome back the Phoenix, the Roar, and especially the fans to Dunedin for what we expect to be a very competitive game. I know the city will again get behind these teams and create another evening of noise, colour and football fever, Davies said.

Approximately 15,000 fans attended the pre-season football match in August and added passion and enthusiasm to really bring the Stadium and the game alive. Were looking to build on that success and cement Forsyth Barr Stadiums position as a premier sports and entertainment venue.

Hmmm uni will be over by then.
Brisbane went down there last time.

Not sure if best choice, but will be a good trip for those willing to make the journey.

I missed the pre-season game, so am very keen to head down for this one! Any chance of Air NZ doing a special plane for the Fever a la Warriors?

I'm very jealous of that stadium. Proper football/rugby stadium, crowd close to that action, and a roof. If only Wellington had that vision....

Look out, it might be an afternoon game, like the other midweek round (3pm).

agree plus it's mid-week so not sure how many will travel down for this one.  Allure of 1st game at new stadium will be void.

Might get a bunch of Christchurchers travelling down as well though. Should aim to get 10,000 there.

It's the FFA's call so you would hope they have evaluated it and done due diligence (ha ha ha ha ha ha)...

FFA Decision Making Process:

Has it worked before?

Yes = Do it again!
No = Do it over and over until it works!

You'd think so. Wouldn't you?  Still need offcial confirmation so that tickets can be booked and then cancelled when Bon Jovi decide to drop in on their way to somewhere else.

Fred Woodcock said "Eden Park". Surely a misprint for NHS? (I live 30 mins walk from Eden Park so that'd be convenient, but also utterly stupid venue.)

Play the We Are Football ad at half time in the oval ball final, that will easily get all the Aucklanders there coming to the Nix.

I'll be there, of course, but it's going to be terrible. We'll get 10,000 max and we'll be rattling around in this massive cavern. What was wrong with NHS? It's in the wop-wops but it's a good stadium for watching football.

Remember the temp seating will be coming out after RWC Final - that will bring it back down to 50 thou I think.
