Great work Oska! I'd keep the current black and yellow stripey as the home kit, but I like the grey kit you came up with as a second strip.

Grey reminds me of the old Hurricanes away strip

Not a fan, look like training tops

Yeah bud thats sort of what i was meaning. The second strip is just enough variation from the current away strip. And definitely no clash with other sides.

Yeah dont like the grey idea, although the stripey that Oska made looks the business, would make a mad away strip, especially good with the yellow socks IMO AJ132011-02-05 15:24:40

There is nothing to say that grey will or will not clash with any other teams kit.
Ive heard that Victory might go back to their grey away kit this year so that would be a clash there if it happens.

how would our grey away kit clash with melbourne's? they'll wear grey or their blue when the visit us, and we'll be in stripey. when we visit them we'll wear grey or stripey no clash that I can see.

Some angst in Bogantown regarding a possible change of colours.

Many of you have overwhelmingly expressed disapproval of recently-surfaced rumours of a possible change in club colours from gold + red/navy to blue + red.

Whilst the Tinkler Group have implemented many promising initiatives such as more affordable ticket prices, many here believe this decision (if true) could be a potentially damaging mistake. Whilst many fans will also be Knights fans, many of these will also recognise the requirement for separate identities of the respective teams.

If you, like us, are proud of the history of the Newcastle United Jets, and the colours this was achieved in is important to you, then please copy the below email and forward to:

Recent rumours within the Northern NSW football fraternity of a potential major change in the primary home kit colours of the Newcastle United Jets from gold + red/blue to blue + red in order to align with the Newcastle Knights rugby league club are concerning.

This club has forged a proud history in the six years of the Hyundai A-League and Asian Champions League campaigns, and the club colours occupy a sizeable part of these memories. Our gold strip is distinctive, it is easily recognisible at the local and national football levels as the Newcastle United Jets and has been associated with passion, pride and success over the 6 years since the A-League commenced.

Embarking on a major change by removing the gold from the home strip without any consultation whatsoever, I believe you risk unnecessary angst and potential alienation of many loyal supporters, many of whom are also owners of official gold Newcastle United Jets merchandise at great expense.

By forwarding this email to you, I express my disapproval of any possible introduction of new club colours without first consultation of Newcastle United Jets members, the same minimum rights that are being afforded to Newcastle Knights members by the Tinkler Group in their recent takeover discussions.

I can understand their unhappiness. Should keep the same home kit, but red/blue as their alternate.

I hope the Phoenix Adidas kit is a different template to the Seattle Sounders FC new kit. Adidas have butchered what was a great fist kit with stupid silver electric bra straps.

Should be glad they still have a team to support. If he hadn't bought the Jets their lovely gold merchandise would be sitting in their wardrobes.
