Because it was A-League related but not Phoenix specific.

Sounds like the Nix weren't confident we will get byes for all off the FIFA windows.

15th October was the start date mentioned in reports, only 147 days to go ...

Surely the FFA would have learnt from their mistakes last season with the Newcastle game?

Sounds like there has been some developments with the Nix ability to promote ASBP players.

But you'll have to listen to the podcast to find out.

What did we do to deserve that kinda treatment :-P

Thats good news. But still seems very unfair. Makes it a bit of a joke competition if a team has to play a matchday squad of players that mostly play for a completely different team, especially when you have the ability to give them a bye (or just break for international windows, like most real leagues do)

Pretty sure it is an Australian football competition.

It's understood the Roar will travel to New Zealand in round one to take on Wellington Phoenix.

In other opening round fixtures, the Victory will meet the Heart in the Melbourne derby, Adelaide United will do battle with Perth Glory, and Central Coast Mariners and Western Sydney Wanderers will clash in a grand final re-match.

Hoping we get some away fixtures in cities when they have Ashes test matches on. Barmy Army supported the Knights, they would probably do the same for us.

Permalink Permalink

That would hit my pocket hard. I'd HAVE to go over for that.

10 games in Wellington, and 3 more at other locations around NZ. Have to say that I'm very disappointed in that.

What's worse, the second home game in Wellington is the 1st of December, nearly 2 months after the first!
