Thought he looked a threat in the GF v Central Coast, if I remember correctly.

Going to be interesting to see where he slips in, could be a good fit to Ernie's style. Think he will be coming off the bench when he makes the team, but interest in what this does mean for Boyd. When is Boyd and Cunningham signed onto?

Kenny C goneburgers also; no great loss there. I think he's a decent player and a good option off the bench but he doesn't really fit Ernie's system. Has never totally worked out for him here.

From what I've seen of Appiah-Kubi; he's got a bit of potential but looks like doesn't really know what to do with it yet. I think Ernie could mould him into a decent player.

Apparently Daniel is in town for a Phoenix Legends match which will play curtain raiser to Hutt Rec game on 7 March.

I think the press release said he'll join the team on Monday so next weekend I guess?

Daniel !!!!!!!! Oh how we miss his crossing. Perhaps Wee Mac could get some pointers of him after the last two games. And Fenton too.

Brilliant! So many things to like there. J. Griffiths gets the card, and Karl Dodd gets in a much better drop kick on him on the way down. Man what a team. Some tough tacklers for sure: McKain, Muscat, Sigmund and Brown in discussion with Milligan there. Wonder how many yellows that cohort picked up that season...did we do better than City's six during the last game?

Hmm. Not sure how I'd feel about this. Much less like than Robbie Kruse even. That said he would do a job I'm sure. More than capable of tucking away a goal or two off the bench and that's definitely what we need. Not the kind of striker to grow with the club though. Ocassionally you need the odd c- to win a title yeh? Kevin Muscat had his hand in a few I believe. If we pick up Griffiths I'd want a top two finish minimum.

If we signed Nutpuncher we better keep an eye on HN. He'd go ballistic (And rightly so) seeing him in a Nix kit. Griffiths is past it, time to look younger directions.

Next up Nix sign Matt Simons...... ;)

I think he's just taunting his strikers, "if you lot don't put the ball in the net this Sunday I'll... I'll...I'll.. sign Joel Griffiths"

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

If he does sign for us and scores a goal do we all get a bag of crushed nuts?

Kind of weird that we're adding another forward (give Tyler Boyd a crack already!) ..but even though he's old and many people on here may assume he doesn't fit the no cocks policy, he's got a decent record and I expect him to be a valuable addition to the squad.

Are we paying his salary with the proceeds of Burns' sale to the Chinese club?

Oh Wait...

I can't work out how he would fit, I wouldn't put him as a starter over the other front three.

Story is from the same guy who ballsed up the Burns/China story. Plus it would need a same exception that Jaliens got to sign outside transfer window.

I saw this coming, mentioned it when the Jest feud made the news. I think it could work. He's technically good and could be a good injection off the bench.

And with all this talk of Tyler wanting to leave, i can see why Ernie probably isnt wanting to play him. He doesnt strike me as the kind of manager who would take kindly to someone spouting off about wanting to leave (which is what Kenny has also apparently being saying).

Strangely enough, I'm actually not as fudgeed off about the possibility of Griffiths coming as I thought I would be.

Watching him this season I saw a bloke who gave everything on the field for a team that gave him nothing. He seems to have worked on his anger issues while still maintaining some aggression. And he is a goalscorer, a good replacement for Brockie that can come on if we need to change things up.

I can't believe I'm saying this about Joel Griffiths but I reckon if he comes to us, he'd be grateful and give us everything and I wouldn't mind that.
