That seems like a very second string side. It's a bit worrying that we've yet to play our starting team or even half a starting team in the pre-season.
Not worried... Under Merrick we had great pre season form... meant nothing.

Disappointing to lose, but in all honesty, how many of the starting XI are going to be in or around the first team this season?
Rossi, Abbas the only certainties, Oli Sail as well, but only by virtue of being the #2 keeper.
Hoping that the Kiwi boys Ridenton and Rufer are in for game time, make or break season for both if they want to stay at the club long term. All other's in that lineup though are fighting it out to be squad players and backup.
Not long to go now!

Blacktown City knocked over Wellington 2-1 earlier today at Lily's Football Centre.

probably had at most four regulars in the starting lineup including Ali
Abbas at left back who was steady. Wellington basically lacked ideas
with the ball and in that respect Blacktown were much better and
deserved the result.
Kaludjerovic came on for about the last ten
minutes, obviously with most of their regulars playing the result could
have been different.

A semi pro team that has beaten an A-league team in competition (FFA Cup), made the quarter finals of the FFA cup twice and are currently second in NSW Premier League, they won that league last season. Yes they are semi pro but they aren't a bad semi pro team playing against our team that wasn't made up of starters and at the start of our season compared to them being at the end of theirs.
