Pretty sure Ball is in Aussie?
Someone said a week ago, they saw an insta post from him in wgtn.

Ball was out with his wife in Wellington. He was on holiday in Queensland previously so must have arrived back before things locked down

We will probably get a good gauge of how things are going to be six months from now by observing the general public consequences of the "Freedom Day" relaxation of rules in UK.   If infection rates stay as they are now then it might be tempting to return to "life as usual" elsewhere too, especially with high vaccination rates.  If things spike up again in UK, we know it is back to square one.
Spike up?! It's 50,000 per day now. How much of a "spike" do you want?


Cases yes but it's like the cold here now, only the non jabbed are causing the NHS issues (the young, anti vaxxers etc).  Life feels pretty good atm.

Nah, most of non kiwi nix boys went elsewhere (incl. Uffie's family). A lot went to one on Taranaki which has since moved. My barber has moved on from that particular shop though but used to cut the English lot + a few others first time around.

Elliott is reportedly a free agent now. I imagine he will be hoping to get decent minutes at the Olympics and secure a move somewhere else, otherwise I'd expect to see him back at the NIX.

Bit of an A-League journeyman but is actually a decent player, Steven Lustica is off contract at Western. Iirc he didn't have a good time under Aloisi at the Roar. Maybe we could pick him up as a Devlin replacement?

Just annoying they’d get a fee for him. But yeah, I agree with your point.
Speculation is that he had a clause in his contract that allows him to go for cheap or free.

As a Phoenix fan, this would be incredible. As a New Zealand fan, both of those guys are too good and need to be playing in Europe weekly.

I really rate him. I actually think it's for the best that Reid and Boxall aren't playing, these are important competitive minutes for him and the likes of Stensness.

Stensness is the best thing Rudan's ever done :)

As a Phoenix fan, this would be incredible. As a New Zealand fan, both of those guys are too good and need to be playing in Europe weekly.

Bell has Premier League links according to a Norwegian football journalist on Twitter, so it's a bit of a pipe dream to bring him home. Stensness needs a step up too, he was phenomenal last season which I really didn't see coming and the Olympics are corroborating that

Always presumed because he knew Rudan was gone and possibly feared the worst? 
After the expiration of his Weenix contract, he went to try his luck in Europe. Didn't win a contract, and at that point IIRC we'd already completed our midfield and didn't have space for him

Callan Elliot is back! Top stuff from the Nix. 

I'm expecting him to establish himself in the side ahead of Fenton this season (unless Payne does play significant RB minutes).

I though Talay had said Payne was the fave for RB? Maybe that's changed?
Otherwise we now have 3 RBs, Payne, Fenton, Elliot

Does that mean Payne will shift back to CB?

Uffie did say we will look for a CB as he would prefer Payne move back to were he was but if they need to they might look at getting Elliot. Now they have so could mean Payne does stay at CB

I would expect we had admitted defeat in trying to sign someone better than Payne at CB. All the Aussie options have signed with Aussie clubs.

Old & Paulsen are probably gonna get deals, so we look something like this atm
