This sounds like so many other games this year.

That, is very frustrating. Three points lost.

all over 2-1 to Adelaide, how did that happen????

Gutted once again

3 weeks in a row we can't beat ten men...

I know this was a very depressing performance but we really have to look at the bigger picture.
We are a brand new club, a team with little experience. We will learn how to defend and hold a lead in the seasons to come as players become more confident.
Players will grow.

Defending a lead in football is like bowling the final over of a cricket match and you know that the other team needs 12 runs to win. This happened to Mark Gillespie the other day. He bowled a good 1st ball which got smaked but then he lost his cool. He lacks experience. And we lost that match because of it. Chances are the next time he is in that situation he won't make the same mistakes.

Players will only learn from their mistakes and mature.

I know it hurts that we can't manage to pull a victory but so many great things have happened to this team already such as the Sony deal (where Queensland get the Coffee Club)and having perhaps the world's most recognisable face playing against a new born team in the first year is incredible.

Next year will be the big season. I just hope the people of Wellington continue to back their team as it is great football to watch even though it is frustrating at times.

I look forward to finally seeing a match live on December 14th against Queensland.
To all of those who are going to the Beckham match tomorrow night have a blast and hopefully our boys will enjoy the experience with an emphatic victory.
