I think it's safe to say that was the impression I got from listening to the interview.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Word on the street is that wikifrauds.net may be a disgruntled Aussie with links to the Melbourne underworld who was refused a WGA loan despite paying some fees.

Not necessarily, according to Mr Telfer's show this morning.

He interviewed John Dow (?) who said there had been people expressing an interest in getting involved with the Phoenix, and had been for a while, but that "it was Terry's business". Which implied that they either didn't want to get involved while Terry was at the helm or vice versa. He also said that he was very confident that the Nix would continue, either with Terry or without him.

Telfer also said that he had heard of one prominent businessman, who didn't want to be named, who had expressed an interest in the Nix, 'with certain strings attached'.

So even if Terry goes, it may not mean the end of the Club.

John Dow has been stirring this kind of sh*t since day one.

This is the same guy who syphoned money out of Team Wellington until the money dried up then tossed it in and almost killed the franchise, so let's hope he's not our "saviour".

In more encouraging news: Australian police Wednesday said they were not investigating the owner of Spanish club Racing Santander, Ahsan Ali Syed, in connection with allegations over his business conduct.

Not at all, Dow wasn't saying anything about him getting involved etc. Telfer just interviewed him cos of the TW thing and some sort of lobbying he was supposedly involved in to get the FFA licence to Wellington in the first place.

Said all the right things including nice stuff about Terry. Wasn't a hatchet job and, without knowing about his history, came across as being very positive about the Nix's future

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Someone tweet Nipples and ask him if he's tried to interview Wikifrauds.

That the rumours aren't true, presumably meaning he ain't gearing up to buy the Nix. I think we must accept the gruesome truth that there are no other offers for the Nix. Either Terry survives or we're going to go the way of the Fury.

You have just posted what many of us have been thinking for quite some time.

There are still some opinions that we may not be Fury bound. John Morrison has repeatedly said that he does not think the Nix will fold because there is interest in the wider Wellington business community to keep it running, probably in the form of multiple owners. Whether the cold cash comes forward when its needed is a mute point.

my point about resolving this now is it is obvious that the WGA money is not going to appear and that Terry is on his knees financially. When you are offering up your house you are getting desperate. I have no confidence that even if he gets some money to pay IRD that he will be able to continually stump up with the $400,000 a month that he said is needed to run the Nix.

So my point of view is, it seems to me Terry can't fund it ,so lets move on. The sooner we find out if there are other owners the better. If there are new owners then we can put this behind us and the club can focus on recruitment and preparing for the new season.

Interview? Nippert is actually quoted on wikifrauds.net, so I assumed they were thick with each other? The plot chickens. If Ali Syed comes up with some or all of the money - for Terry, for Racing Santander, for untold other speculators - then will Matt go back on Closeup, opposite Terry S?

Wikifrauds is clearly written by a slightly crazy person with a grudge, but its specific accusations do seem to stand up. Nippert said on Closeup that no-one has ever EVER gotten the loan promised by WGA. If at least one such person were to come forward, then I would start to lean back to "maybe Ali Syed is the real deal".

This is going to make one hell of a movie.
The only real questions are will Cruise and Depp be able to pull off believable portrayals  of Hard News and Feverish and who will play Smithy?

If that's the case you'd think he might have quoted someone from there in one of his many "stories".

Cruise is going to need to 'bulk up' a bit to portray me.

I am extremely suspicious of that Wikifrauds site. It definitely looks like the work of a disgruntled amateur, rather than someone who has evidence of actual criminal wrong-doing.

It's also a very small group of people who have been stirring this up down in Aus/NZ. The mysterious Investigator One, Matt Nippert and a couple of Aussie journalists. They are all just quoting and re-quoting each other in order to keep the story going.

I still think WGA smells bad, but then so does a nice blue cheese.

To be fair, "a small group of people all quoting from one another" is how Wikifrauds says Ali Syed gets himself his good press. The SMH has now named Keith Johnson, Keith de Lacey and David Kenny as real people who believe they've been ripped off. (And apparently others won't come forward because they still hope to get some of their money back.)

I repeat, Wikifrauds is obviously written by a nutter with a grudge, but nutters with grudges sometimes tell the truth.

No, if I wanted flirtatious posts, I wouldn't have searched for a picture of Eliza Dushku fully clothed.

Why, what do you normally wear when you're searching for a picture of Eliza Dushku?

Well played indeed. (The answer to the question is for me to know and certain forumites to imagine for about ten minutes before they go to sleep.)

A quick look on YouTube and we should put Eliza Dushku in midfield for pure distraction.....may be Terry should have brought her to court in the first place and asked for several years to pay.

Anyone else there a fan of Dollhouse? Terry should have spent that money on Eliza Dushku programmed as the best lawyer in the world, who's also a ninja assassin who'll steal Ali Syed's private jet and pay off Terry's debts with the proceeds.
