Interesting thread on the Perception of Filipe & Daniel. They both seem to possess a nice short passing game but how much penetration comes with it of a quality or rather telling nature.

Telling=penetrative=actual real scoring opportunities.(Set Pieces aside)

Felipe had a great game tonight! probably his best since syndney away,

was knackered when he came off, gave it heaps, and as said so many times he can do stuff most our lads can only dream of

Daniel can score penalties and is scoring highly in terms of goal assists, however there are times he is inclined to overly complicate things. Felipe during the last three games has not played that well. His strikes at goal have tended to be well wide and from poor positions.

What we still lack is someone who can provide good quality crosses to a Nix player. Whether Bertos can fulfill that role is an important question. But given the poor quality ofthe crosses, especially during the Adelaide game when so many fell to a defender instead of an attacker it is one of many areas that need to be addressed, if the Nix are to do more that make up the numbers.

Daniel and Felipe gave it everything tonight and imo they were quite clearly motm. Felipe is a real hand full on the ball and was creating trouble every time it came to him. Daniel never gives up and always puts in good crosses and passes. Great penalty too!

Yes! Felipe was sensational tonight - the best game I've seen him play. Not everything he tried came off but he gave his absolute all.

Trying to impress a certain Dutchman perhaps...?

Felipe never makes the last pass.  If he did he would be quality.

Agreed.

Doesnt pass, which means all the "tricks" he does (before he falls over) are a waste of time.

Dont get me wrong, hes a good player for the a-league, but not great - to improve his game he (and elrich) need to dramatically improve their service to our strikers.

Men after my own heart!  I've been reading all this "wasn't Felipe great" stuff and thinking I had been watching a different game.

Please watch him when he doesn't have the ball, then try and repeat that comment.
