I'm sorry folks, but there's a whole load of copium in this thread. When WSW lost 3-0 to this lot, WSW still had more shots, more possession, etc. They looked like a professional side.
These Phoenix performances are not preseason jitters. They are absolutely tragic.
What really passes me off is that we were competing in the first half. We could all see what was working and what wasn't but Chief didn't have the guts take the subs at HT. We wouldn't be 3-0 down now if he had. Very disappointing
Yeah Heidelberg came out the gate hungry and we came out limping and got punished.
Made 4 subs to try shift momentum back, but the damage is done now.
Really should have made the changes at half. Looks super embarrassing for Chiefy to make those subs after conceding twice like that and doubt they can save the game.
All of those XI on the field better go earn their $100k+ a year by getting at least 3 goals in the final half hour because a bunch of semi pros are making them look like utter clowns. Disgraceful.
As I said in the previous Cup game thread, most of our kids making regular appearances aren't actually good enough and would have been let go at other clubs but given ourr best players have all left, they are all we have. 🤦♂️

you have an opportunity to win a trophy in a pre season tournament, give or take and you don't take it seriously. Doesn't the club know if AFC win it they have two trophies in 18 months compared to us with none.
