So does anyone on here know why he didn't get a decent shot in our top team? The answer doesn't have to be scandalous, just a good discussion point.

Being a bit cynical for a tick, seems that Ange is building himself a little Greek enclave at the Roar, if he brings in Pantelis then look for souvlaki's to be served next season at the Roar (tongue is in cheek as I write this, but yeah, a bit NSL like for me what's happening at the Roar at present).

Otherwise, Costa's move to an Australian club doesn't surprise me.

The only people who really know are Ricki and the rest of the coaching staff.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

It's pretty obvious that Ricki and co have tried to have a consistent line up, players have had to force their way into the team on merit (e.g. Siggy not getting his place back), he's not giving any extra chances to players. Costa just hasn't done enough.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

well none of us is actually going to KNOW, but;

ifill one side up front, caceres/leo the other, so no vacancy there for a young up and coming kid, + then need a strong and experienced single striker in the middle, = not costa
OR
two strikers and greenie is going to be one of them, you want a tall target man for smaller greenie to play off = not costa

good player, i think he's been real exciting when he's come on, but just hasn't really fitted the squad pattern and the players he's been up against have been too good to easily shift

best of luck to him, cause it sounds like he could well fit with the roar game plan and get a good amount of playing time

another kiwi out there playing professionally = great
another young kid getting a chance at the Nix = great
