Big success today. Not only did I help Conan Troutman out of a bind by offloading my spare Bay J ticket to him so he did not get into deep Valentine's day trouble by going to the football on his own, but I also met Warren, a retired (I think) Hutt Valley resident who had always wanted to go to a Nix game but never had. I gave him a ticket and explained we'd be at the Bellevue for a beer before and after the game and he was absolutely chuffed to be going along.

Result!

Excellent Brandon. You really are reaching out to those that "might if they could and now they can" type people. Well done sir. If you ever wish to do this for a trip to a game in Aussie, my passport is still valid.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I'm not allowed to do trips to Aussie anymore. I have been banned.

You can go, but you just have to wear the oppositions colours.

So, for the season finale I'm doing somthing different. My cousin lives in Christchurch, and has a sports mad 12 yr old son, Julius. My cousin is a single dad, and works as a demolition labourer in the Christchurch rebuild.

I've bought them flights to Wellington on Saturday morning, and home again on Monday, so that Julius can go to his first ever Nix game live at the Ring of Fire. As an added bonus we're going the St. Kilda vs. Carlton game on Saturday too and then they fly back to Christchurch on Monday.

Can't wait.
