On the bright side, with 10 men and in some real heat, we didn't fold unlike season 1. At least they are trying to try!

sh*te second half.  Our defence, all 5 of them were rubbish.  Why did Ricki take Greenacre off, he was playing well.  Our finishing/balls into the box woeful also.

Nearly every game Crowther has played we have lost and conceded a considerable amount of goals.

I don't really get this. Especially because we have only won 4 times this season.

All is not lost. It does undo our efforts last week in the 40 degree heat in Newcastle, but a good bounce back against the Tards will restore any lost faith.

nah, as soon as you've got a wide defender getting done like a xmas turkey for pace the whole D is going to get pulled out of shape, especially when siggy is not the quickest either

I have to be honest and say I'm not as confident now as I was 3 hours ago against a league leading Melbourne who just slotted 4 next week.

Mind you it was the same with Gold Coast and we nailed 6 so....

f**king pathetic performance.

Greenacre was good but no support at all. Even Ifill was not at his best.

Daniel ???  drop him.
Manny ??  what a f**kin idiot.

Sigi was very average, giving away a free kick cum goal and wasted chances up front.  Muscat was a dick, Crowther well, need not go there and Dura and Lochead guilty for the second goal in not marking properly.

I'm gutted as all the other results went our way this weekend and I felt at half time that we were on our way to 5th.

Yep, Hearfiields been alright

Isnt that the fullbacks dilemma though?

Hearfield was wide and ensuring Oar never got the ball alright, but the ball was played inside the big gap inside him for an easy goal.

Pretty moderate all round tonight, p-poor sending off which ovviously made a difference, but we should have scored more and conceded less.

+1 mjp. Very astute assessment.

If anything, I don't think we really made that adjustment as much it was evident as far in as 20mins what was happening down that flank. Nearly every person in this forum picked it and Andy Harper, as much as I loathe him, was on the money. Oar was the man of the match for them because we couldn't play him. As much as I don't like hating on Ricki, that is his fault or to a lesser extent that of Durante as on field marshall for not making adjustments and nullifying that. Sigmund gets dragged across, the late runners slip in behind....

We should give thanks it was 4 only and if not for their poor finishing, we could have been on the hook for 7.

How about gouldie getting a run next time?

That was horrible to watch, I thought we had it in the first half. Manny's decision was stupid. Siggy practically gifted them that goal.

No sack Ricki though. The boys just fell apart.

Still..

What may have made a couple of good passes but some of his touches or should i say the lack of them were very ordinary.

need to sign another wide back with some pace

+ hearfield needs more than just pace as a defensive player.  I don't think you can really ask him to be an accomplished wide back and make all the right judgements at this level

aka, in reply to your last comment Vader - Ricki hasn't got too many options at the moment

We only had 3 in the midfield. 4 v 3 must be gaps somewhere.
