Didn't he say that he was using the nix to get back into shape before trying to head off overseas again.

That's not really slagging the club though, is it. Most players in this league see playing in it as a stepping stone to bigger things.

Actually, on this topic I'll add something else. Thinking back, comparing Elrich with the likes of Chen/Mulligan/George is a bit harsh. Elrich came here on the back of a serious injury, which severely impacted his previously biggest asset, pace. This has obviously had an adverse impact on his career, but I don't think he was terrible for us when he was here. He always looked good technically, but never lived up to the expectations we had of him as the marquee player. It's because he failed to meet those marquee expectations that he gets rubbished (and fair enough), rather than because he was hopeless for us. Admittedly he wasn't great either, but to put him in the same category as Mulligan/Chen/George who were all just abysmally inept at this level is a bit unfair in my opinion.el grapadura2010-01-05 16:30:07

agreed, Elrich failed to impress cos he wasn't fit and really didn't get much of a chance to impress....the others were a) pretty crap to start with and b) had attitudes to match their ability.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Well to be fair, Elrich played 13 games for us.  That's a pretty decent chance i reckon.
